When I tried a Yahoo mock, it seemed like it wanted to say (the "Rank" column), supposedly using our scoring system:An Old Friend wrote: ↑15 Mar 2025 09:07 amI think it’s because in a traditional Roto, top starting pitchers only contribute to 4 of 5 categories. Yeah it seems it’s pushing starters way up the board which will be interesting if a lot of guys draft based on that. It seems awfully expensive for pitching.mattmitchl44 wrote: ↑15 Mar 2025 09:53 amWhen I tried a Yahoo mock, it seemed like it wanted to say (the "Rank" column), supposedly using our scoring system:An Old Friend wrote: ↑15 Mar 2025 09:07 amI think it’s because in a traditional Roto, top starting pitchers only contribute to 4 of 5 categories. I can’t see myself taking deGrom in anything but my 10 team auction, seems too risky to take him where he’s going in a 12 or especially 15 teamer.

deGrom is surprisingly high on every list I see. Funny how all these ‘experts’ end up seemingly overvaluing the same players. It’s like they have collective ‘sleeper picks’ that end up overhyped from incidental group think. An Old Friend wrote: ↑15 Mar 2025 10:58 amYeah it seems it’s pushing starters way up the board which will be interesting if a lot of guys draft based on that. Some lists I see barely touch on pitching at all until 30+, so I actually like that our cats give them a bump. But it also makes me want to give the cats a harder look next year. Wanted to do it this year, democratically, but there was a delay with our #15.

2025 quote chain
Reminder -
Draft day is tomorrow -
Sunday, March 16th, 2:00 PM CST
Draft order is -
1. ggnoobs
2. Jeffy
3. DJ Davis
4.Dazepster
5. RichieRich's Gashouse Gorrilas
6. Trader (HorseTrader)
7. MattMitchl44
8. Quincy Varnish
9. Stealing Alex (Alex Reyes Cy Young)
10. Futuregm
11. An Old Friend
12. You Bought It!
13. imadamnman
14. Cool Papa Con
15. Dirty Paws (Barking Lion)
Individual draft picks are set to 45 seconds, so come prepared!
If you’re unable to be in front of a computer, you can draft from the Yahoo Fantasy mobile app. (I actually do this even while in front of a computer.)
Plan for the draft to last over an hour. Though it’s strongly recommended you be there early, don’t fret if life doesn’t allow for it. You can join in after the draft begins.
Remember this is a snake draft, so if you’re near the top or bottom of the draft order, your spots will be coming up quickly.
Good luck!!

I think the pre-draft rankings are set when draft positions are determined. Yahoo’s rankings can change on a regular basis throughout the year, so I’d guess that’s what’s happening there.mattmitchl44 wrote: ↑15 Mar 2025 09:53 amWhen I tried a Yahoo mock, it seemed like it wanted to say (the "Rank" column), supposedly using our scoring system:An Old Friend wrote: ↑15 Mar 2025 09:07 amI think it’s because in a traditional Roto, top starting pitchers only contribute to 4 of 5 categories. I haven’t been able to find a mock on Yahoo that uses our league-specific rankings… I’m guessing the mocks and interface operate differently from PC to mobile.

He did not play any MLB-affiliated ball last year, and it looks like he’s not in anyone’s camp this year. He’s off the map until someone signs him.
Would have made a hilarious 26th round pick
