The Noot fascination amuses me that it still exists after all these years of mediocre performance. Glove ain't good enough for CF, bat ain't good enough for corner OF. He should have zero future here on a team that is still too LH. I hope they let him play enough just to build trade value. And admittedly, he's better than Saggese or some of the other nobodies they've run out there in LF. For now.
Indeed.
Gifted a job he never earned.
Proclaimed a core player by Super Slo Mo purely for marketing purposes.
Lars The Human Sushi-baar - always leaving an empty feeling.
Not very bright and terrible at fundamentals.
Good at drawing walks and then standing around while others do the real work.
The day he is back in the line-up, the team is worse.
The day he gets traded, the team is better.
Took less than an inning for Mootbaar to prove my point.
As certain as sunrise
Amazing how good I am at this stuff.
lol yep so good this has aged very well
Indeed it has.
I apologize for the delay in my response as I was out of town over the weekend - but I know how important my posts are to you and others.
On Friday, Moot scored one and drove one in - while his defensive and baserunning mistakes in the 1st inning cost STL at least 2 runs and quite possibly more.
Net negative.
It appears on Saturday he had a PH HR.
Very nice.
Net positive.
It appears that yesterday he was a complete non-factor.
Net neutral.
3 games - hurt the team in one, helped in another, not relevant in the third.
Improve the team?
Nope.
But, in fairness to him (as I always am), small sample size.
I don't make the same mistake as others who are prone to in leaping to conclusions too quickly.
Rarely works out well for them.
Let's see what happens.
I like my odds.

Was ANXIOUSLY awaiting your response on Nootbaar.
Yes, of course.
As designed.
I contacted Ringling Brothers. They’ll send you a free suit to wear while posting. Complete with red wig, big red nose, and oversized shoes! Just need to know your size!
BTW....how’s Gorman doing?

Always ANXIOUS for that daily laugh you provide.
You live up to the name Sideshow Clown very well!

Impressive. He's really doubling down on stupid :D
Hes already providing more than the unicorn. He also ignored he walked twice yesterday getting on base is a good thing
In 10 AB's, Noot has provided a .300 AVG; .462 OBP; and 1.162 OPS, but the resident idiot tells us he's a net neutral over the 3 games. You can only laugh :D

Always about the game and never himself :D
Yes. Yes it is. But which game?
Sorry, Mel. If you happen to see this I couldn’t help myself.
Alway appreciate your posts!

All of them.
Never about me.

I look forward to his daily babbling as a source of comic relief.
He needs to be careful or else he’ll be responsible for creating a “toxic culture” on CT. 😉

The day he gets traded, the team is better.
Was ANXIOUSLY awaiting your response on Nootbaar.
And you didn’t disappoint!
Comedy Central!
You can only laugh :D
lol no kidding I wonder what the unicorns net negative is
Nootbaar: 13 PAs; 0.2/0.3 fWAR/bWAR
Gorman: 222 PAs; -0.1/-0.1 fWAR/bWAR
"Nootbaar is not the answer to this team and I don’t understand Bernie."
Did he say Gorman was?
Or is there some other reason that you (and others) have made a post irrelevant to the OP's topic?
Maybe confused about which thread you are in?
Being kind and gracious to a fault, I prefer not to speculate.
Harmless mistake.
You're so full of .... that your eyes are brown. You know exactly why people are referencing Gorman. You can't run when everyone here knows your posting history.

Concise
Precise
and accurate.
Never about me.
And this thread, according to the OP, is about Mootbaar.
Common courtesy dictates that we remain on topic, and I adjure you to do so.
Have you any contribution of value to the Mootbaar conversation?
If not, being kind and gracious to a fault, I will simply compliment use on your closing 4 words above.
Nice formatting.
I wonder where you came up with that?

.167
And THAT is why it is always wise to avoid snap judgements based on small sample size.
Which is why I never do so.
Do I believe Lars The Human Sushi-baar will hit .167 for the year.
Of course not.
But, others here foolishly crowed about a single game.
My advice?
Keep reading, keep learning.

He’s got on base or driven in a run in every game he’s played drew a walk that helped lead to a run. He has a better OBP slugging and OPS than Gorman man if you think a guy doing better than Gorman sucks then you must really think Gorman sucks

For now.

Wisdom for all to learn from and live by.
Mootbaar now hitting .167.
Is that the last word on the subject?
Of course not.
6 days is no more of an answer than 1 day is - though some foolishly thought otherwise.

Small sample size or not the village idiot will use it. He has to feel like he was right about something considering he's wrong about almost everything.
