In 1993, Jay Darnell, the Colorado Rockies' video coordinator, introduced Mozeliak to Bryn Smith, pitcher for the Rockies. Smith was looking for a location to go fly fishing. A few days after Mozeliak took Smith fly fishing, the Rockies invited Mozeliak to serve as a batting practice pitcher, since they needed someone who could throw left handed. Dante Bichette took a liking to Mozeliak, and they created a clubhouse job for Mozeliak. He began to work with Bob Gebhard, the Rockies' general manager (GM), and Walt Jocketty, the assistant GM.

His claim to fame was helping draft Albert Pujols in the 13th round 402nd pick out of a JUCO in KC where he was putting up crazy numbers
So basically a lucky throw away pick on an in state prospect putting up large JUCO numbers……

So MO’s credentials….taking Bryn Smith fly fishing and getting lucky picking AP……major Cred
And once he had unquestioned control the team went into a steady spiral with a few exceptions.

Still throwing support to Mozeliak is really silly.

I’m hoping to stop beating the lazy, stupid, horrible talent evaluating, generally clueless dead horse of Mozeliak.
+1... most posters on CT support the Cardinals ..and then there a few Mozo the Clown and DeTwit (donkey) kissers who only support the front office...they lie, call people names, troll every thread, and attack anyone who disagrees with them...their hypocrisy is breathtaking.

Are you talking about Mo? The guy who was with the Cards in various capacities over almost 30 years, and had a hand in many of the organizations successes over that period of time? I’m not a huge Mo fan (especially over the past decade), but I’ll give credit where credit is due. Along with a number of other posters on here.

I haven't read the 8 pages before this but this seems like a fairly obvious joke to make right now.

Cardinal nation is ready to turn on Bloom. He has yet to make the playoffs as POBO! Fire him now!

If he has made minimal progress (think Mozeliak level minimal effort), improving the roster by ST, then i will question the plans this organization has.
