The game was on the line there in the 6th inning. Graceffo wasn’t the call. We needed someone to put that fire out.

They could have pulled within 3 1/2 of the Mets if they won. Using a pitcher who has stunk in that situation was awful, Oli shouldn’t need hindsight in that situation. He made a horrible call.

Go back and look. I said it before Graceffo faced his first batter. Graceffo has not been good in quite a while.

Past 88 batters are hitting .346 .386 .531 .917 against him for the last 5 weeks and many of those hitters were AAA hitters against him at Memphis.

Graceffo is not very effective, but you can't pitch Svanson every day.

He's got Svanson, O'Brien, Leahy, and Jojo...but I have no problem with this because Graceffo might have a future and this season is already over so why not him???

I wondered about going to Graceffo myself?

O’Brien has potential.
Leahy looks solid.
Alcala? TBD
Roycroft and Fernandez have been atrocious.

Somehow I'm sure they are "short" again in the 'pen--despite having 9 relievers. Yet some write that Marmol is a master with the bullpen.

I’m shocked anyone needs hindsight to think maybe the guy with the 5.45 ERA who’s given up 42 hits and 10 walks in 38 innings isn’t the guy you want to bring in with a 2 run lead and runners on base lol I mean that was impressively dumb by oli

Yes, definitely a guy to root for. He's been very, very effective for Springfield and Memphis this year. He earned this look.

That fateful inning was ballgame. Oli needed the very best he had and it wasn’t that yahoo.
