Examing that last ab by Herrera. If he he doesn't swing at a ball well outside on the first pitch after Donovan's walk, he would have also walked. Instead we get the dp ball on the 3-2- count. Pitchers show signs of a control issue and youy don't make him throw a first strike. Don't think that's good fundamental basball.
It would have been strike three if he took it and he smoked it at 103mph just at someone
Right Ozz, but I was talking about the very first after the walk that he swumg at which was well off the plate.
Oh okay I got you. I think in that situation I’m sure herreras thinking was he was going to start him with a fastball to get ahead in the count and was going to jump it but they went with the slider that’s why it was a bad swing. That’s baseball though when you guess wrong it often looks bad if he had started him with a fastball he would have mashed it

5 hits last night, 3 tonight. We've got more than pitching problems.

Offense would have to improve a lot just to be mediocre.

Just have to tip your hat to Padres pitching.
Cards didn’t do squat at the plate.
Take the series tomorrow!

His shoulder isn't the same...he like guides the bat through the zone now...used to pull with authority...I don't think he can on a normal basis anymore...once a month he turns on one...he's toast
