He's earned it this year, but I think the way he pitches, and falls off after 60-70 pitches, it would be extremely counterproductive for him at the AAA level with less than 1 1/2 months to go...these 6th inning exits would be 3rd and 4th inning exits at AAA.

Fresh start next year in AAA imo

absolutely, he's had a great year. And he had an argument for being promoted over Rajcic....but I think Henderson's arm/development/future is more important to the Cards, so they can spare Rajcic...and Rajcic has been their 2 seasons.

Still, Ixan's minor league career numbers look pretty darn good. Pleasantly surprised, since I remembered when he was drafted, I thought his college years looked pretty meh. He might end up being a steal for an 8th round pick.

he's had 2 really splendid years to start his pro career. The way he handled Peoria after his promotion last season from PMB, while his teammates, Mautz and Hansen struggled all year...was eye opening for me.

He needs to put it into another gear to succeed in AAA next year. We'll see how it goes!!! I'm excited for it.
