The more I think about this the less I want him. I like the roster now and don't want to move anyone on it nor any of the top prospects knocking at the door.
I'd rather sign an insurance vet dman for one year. And depending on if Fowler can be signed, a trade for a top 4 LHD can wait. The Blues will still have a surplus of wingers to choose from.
Byram and the Blues still a hot rumor

I really think Armstrong made his move for defense right now with Mailloux. We obviously could make it work with Byram in the lineup if we had him play RHD until Fowler was gone. I just can't see us moving out another roster forward right now, and I'm sure Buffalo wants NHL-ready help. The Blues still have Lindstein, Dvorsky, Kaskimaki, and Carbonneau coming in the next few seasons. There will be more opportunities to deal from that depth as these guys prove themselves.somni wrote: ↑08 Jul 2025 10:31 am The more I think about this the less I want him. Losing anything of value and then signing Byram to a long term contract would be a big step backwards.

So when is the black hawks going to take a step forward..... Hopefully before Bedard wants to leave the team... Oh yeah thats already happening. Only plays offense and is a minus 36...minus 36 lolBalotelliMassive wrote: ↑08 Jul 2025 11:27 am Losing anything of value and then signing Byram to a long term contract would be a big step backwards.
