You have to wonder about Gorman and his ability to think in this game. Senga gets him out the same way, with the same pitch and he is almost helpless in doing anything about it. Gorman doesn’t seem to learn anything game to game, inning to inning, AB to AB.

They should swap him out for Pages now

Same song and dance.

Runner at third less than two outs and snake eyes.

Game should be tied.

Saggese wrong side of the plate. 2nd time he bailed out.

It's good to hear from Waino. I like how he's calling Libby and Senga.

...Saggese going on contact, and perfect throw from 3B gets him at the plate... That was the correct play by Saggese as Pozo would have been an easy out at1B. VS-II's flyball would have played well for Pozo...

The guy who has a .406 OPS over his last 35 PA with 12 K's?

There aren't a lot of good options on this team right now.

Gorman is exposed. Every pitcher in the league is on notice to not throw the guy a strike.

To preserve brain cells and add to my life expectancy I switched to the NBA game with Saggese on 3B and no outs.
Figured it was a win/win:
I miss it but they score- win
I miss it and Gorman [censored] his pants per usual- win

Gorman is a guess hitter and sucks. He needed to be traded. Cards have Saggese, Donovan, Winn, and prospect Wetherholt. There were so many people that wanted to keep Gorman and kept making execuses for him. So many people that wanted to trade Donovan and keep Gorman. They were all wrong!!! I have always said they need to trade Gorman and keep Donovan and now Gormans trade value keeps plummeting. He is in his 4th year and stock keeps dropping. He is the next Dylan Carlson as far as prospects that loses all value before being traded.

Another inning with that man on third, less than two outs and we just can’t plate a run. RISP was a concern before, we supposedly spent time on it and things were supposed to be better BUT is it. We just don’t give ourselves a chance.

Winn hasn't lost anything. He hit .370 with a .915 OPS over his last 8 games (30 PA) before getting hurt.

But they can find a place for Saggese.
Winn SS, Saggese 2B, Donovan LF. If Saggese continues to be a superior hitter to Walker and Gorman. Nootbaar RF vs RHP and Walker RF vs LHP. If Burleson keeps hitting so so. Maybe some ABs for Saggese at DH. Saggese seems to have good splits against both RHP and LHP.

How will we not score this inning?

Gorman 0-2 with 2Ks. Gorman was not starting before when their was productive ABs and productive outs.

Cards are currently 5th in MLB in AVG with RISP.

The issue with this team is they lose every close game so far in 2025. It's been agonizing.
