Wow! Our mental midget manager actually came up with a lineup today that makes some sense.

Nootbaar
Contreras
Donovan

Especially the Top 3. You need OBP there! And some thump in the 2 hole. And he still gets his L, R, L combo.

The big question is: Will he learn from this and move Winn down when he plays? And does Arenado stay at cleanup if he isn't performing? Or does Herrera supplant him?

I'll be glad when they thin the roster down and send some of these guys packing for whichever direction they are heading. Reading the box scores gives me a seizure!!

Other than stuff, his actual physical look and on mound mannerisms remind me of Lance Lynn.

Andre's slider looks like a July slider than his typical Spring (March, April) Slider....that's a good thing

K's the side

for some stupid reason, Ryan Loutos vaulted him in the pecking order for closer/relief prospects. He's always had better stuff.

Sadly we know Oli loves 140 different lineups over the course of a season.

These 9 should be in the lineup and on the field defensively.

SCOTT CF
NOOTBAAR LF
CONTRERAS 1B
ARENADO 3B
DONOVAN 2B
HERRERA C
BURLESON DH
WINN SS
WALKER RF

Always utilizing OBP and speed whether you have Scott leading off of batting 9th. Winn should be where historically he is best -- batting 8th.

That lineup will score runs and succeed as far as the pitching takes us.
C'mon...it's a scrub nationals team .

Scott has earned a the strt in CF hands down. Gorman may be the odd man out of the starting lineup, but the Cards should be able to find him enough AB's. Gorman, Pages, Fermin, and either Siani or Barrrero in reserve. If Barrero makes the roster over Siani, the Cards will need to create a roster spot for him.

Burly should be the odd man out and play a bench role. He has reached his ceiling IMO, and Gorman's is far higher. This is supposed to be the year we find out about 2 top prospects: Gorman and Walker. They need hundreds of PAs. Burly cannot be standing in the way of that.
