I don’t know, but it might be a bad idea to tip your hand w/ draft picks.

I think it saves your results, somehow.

Q do you have a link to how scoring works? Just want to make sure I am fully aware.

I may as well give a simple explanation here.

We currently have 12 scoring categories. Your total score is comprised from the sum of your teams performance in each category.

If you lead the league in a category, you get 15 points (because there are 15 teams). 2nd place would be 14 points, 3rd 13 points, and so on.

The current category configuration is -

Hitting
AVG
OPS
R
HR
RBI
SB

Pitching
W
QS
ERA
WHIP
K
SV

So the maximum points would be 180. Last year’s champ roflstomped us with 163 points, but the 140-150 range is probably close enough to win the league.

No problemo.

Once the league is full, it’s possible there could be a tweak to the categories… but that will be put to a vote. The rotisserie scoring system will not change.

Did you have a rule last year that our team name had to just be our CT name, so that we could easily tell who was who?

Yes... and I think the goal would be to have it the same, or keep it close enough to easily determine who each team is.

I’d like to propose / formally ask that we move the draft out a week to the 16th rather than the 9th of March.

That could work. I chose the 9th so we’d have a week before the March 18-19 series in Tokyo, to make trades etc.

We don’t really need that, and since Yahoo has introduced retroactive scoring, we could even push it to the 23rd, and nobody would miss out on stats from those games.

The 16th makes seems fine, though…

Hey Quincy,
Just curious. Why are we drafting so far ahead of the season. The closer you get the more certainty and or clarity you have as to roster spots and initial roles. Especially as it relates to players that may or may not be breaking camp due to injury.

But I am sure there is a method to your madness. So do tell why you find it preferential to draft so early.

Well… I wanted to have a little runway before the Tokyo series. Time to make some deals, tap into the FA pool, etc.

However, it looks like we may move draft day a week later to 3/16, provided there isn’t strong objection.

I am very interested in joining if there are still open spots. I barely missed getting in last year, so hopefully I'm responding in time this year. Thanks!
