The people that understand the rebuild already know the losses will pile up. I don’t think they “me” care.11WSChamps wrote: ↑19 Feb 2026 22:10 pm Regardless of the wins and losses its doubtful you ever go a season without seeing something new in this game.
With all the strikeouts and the emphasis on HR's the game isn't nearly as interesting as it once was but I still enjoy anticipating something new or unexpected in a new season.
I'm wondering how many of those so hyped over this rebuild with Bloom will sour once the losses start piling up despite the fact they are saying they understand this will take time.

LOL...You speak for everyone now? I don't dislike you, in fact, I don't think about you at all. I'm here to talk Cards baseball and share my opinions, if someone takes offense to that then too bad.45s wrote: ↑19 Feb 2026 20:54 pmGlad you will be around..CCard wrote: ↑19 Feb 2026 20:21 pmNice try. I believe it’s ok to be disappointed and be excited at the same time.
You can be disappointed that the DeWitts allowed it to get this bad, and be disappointed that they won’t currently spend any money at all to improve the club. Every fan wants their team to be in contention and win games.
However, you can also be excited about this team and watch to see how the young players develop. Which ones will be keepers, and which ones it! Once the games start, it’s time celebrate what victories there are. Whether that be actually winning games, or, most likely, just what players step forward. I think Winn, Herrera, Burleson, Scott, and Liberatore have their best seasons to date.
JJ will make a run at ROY! I actually think that he might be challenged though by one of his teammates! Who?
Quinn Mathews! Wouldn’t that be great?
Anyway go Cards!

Guess it depends on individual discussions folks have had with each other here and how they took it.hugeCardfan wrote: ↑20 Feb 2026 00:33 amGood question. I'm more interested in whether those disaffected fans will still feel obliged to generate vituperative posts nightly if and when the struggles mount. I don't understand the motivation. What value is "I told you so" on an anonymous forum?11WSChamps wrote: ↑19 Feb 2026 22:10 pm Regardless of the wins and losses its doubtful you ever go a season without seeing something new in this game.

Its human nature.
My post didn't mention anything about I told you so's but rather how many people who might have went overboard with everything Bloom is doing suddenly change their tune that's all.

However, I do expect a winning season.
There is enough talent to do so - even if not competitive enough to be a serious threat to take the division.

I’ll have to say there’s a ton of questions on the talent. Prospects can quickly become suspect.Melville wrote: ↑21 Feb 2026 14:50 pmOutstanding post.Hoosier59 wrote: ↑20 Feb 2026 08:46 am I believe it’s ok to be disappointed and be excited at the same time.
