As much as I liked Asia and the Alpha album…I just never really listened to their work after that. Wetton was incredible. You watch You Tube videos of his live shows just before he passed and he sounded incredible.musicman wrote: ↑08 Feb 2026 15:48 pm Very underrated album but one of my faves….is Asia’s “Alpha”. It was their second album with”Don’t Cry” on it. Not near as popular as their debut album…but I liked it much more.
My question is there a bad Asia album? The exception for me would be Payne singing after Wetton passed.

There are some strong releases above, anything Cult is always good loud. 1984 and 5150 were favorites of mine. I just listened to Signals not that long ago although im not a huge Rush guy. I do think i saw them at some point at the Checkerdome i cant recall the tour.TAFKAP wrote: ↑08 Feb 2026 13:32 pmLove Ms Badu. John McLaughlin and the 4th Dimension Live at Montreaux '22
Sade Lovers Live
Erykah Badu Live
Tool Laterlus
Herbie Hancock Headhunters
Widespread Panic Syracuse '01
Wow, if we count Friday, that's a lot. Every year Spotify gives me a ribbon on my Wrapped because i play full albums, and, Spotify is always on at work.
NWA - Straight Outta Compton
The Cult - Love
The Cult - Elecric
The Cult - Sonic Temple (still an all time great to me)
Mammoth - Mammoth I
Mammoth - Mammoth II
Mammoth - The End (incredible, actually all 3 are)
Van Halen - Women And Children First
Van Halen - Fair Warning
Van Halen - 1984
Van Halen - 5150
Van Halen - For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge
Rush - A Farewell To Kings
Rush - Moving Pictures
Rush - Signals
Rush - Presto
Rush - Roll The Bones
Rush - Counterparts
Faith No More - The Real Thing (great album)
Everclear - So Much For The Afterglow
Ozzy - No Rest for The Wicked
Ozzy - No More Tears (his best IMHO)
Rolling Stones - Exile On Main Street
Rolling Stones - Beggars Banquet
Rolling Stones - Let It Bleed
Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers (I will argue the best 4 album run in rock history, including LZ 1,2,3 and 4)
I'm stuck at work now so the list will get longer
Exile is a favorite of mine i think thats my favorite Stones release. I like Love You Live a lot and there is another live one from Texas i think thats good, lots of energy.
I think if i couldnt sit there and listen to something in my living room i would lose my mind. Very relaxing, ultimately cheaper than therapy and no meds required!

The Stones - Ladies and Gentlemen (Live) is my fave for live Stones. Recorded in '72, released as audio in 2017. My side hustle is a delivery driver so I have Spotify on all day, and I like variety. I saw Rush at the Arena in 1990. Great show horrible acoustics. I have to say Mammoth has become my new favorite band.
Re: Fleetwood Mac Rumors
Who is this Fleetwood Mac guy that the "rumors" are about. Is he a center or something, or maybe a stud RHD? I can't find him on Hockey Reference.

Re: Fleetwood Mac Rumors
So are you saying that Fleetwood Mac should have hired Eric Clapton instead of Lindsy Buckingham? I'm kidding brother. All the Peter Green (taught by God), Eric Clapton (is God) stuff that went around was crazy funny.
Re: Fleetwood Mac Rumors
Consider myself blessed to have heard Gary's Guitar Solo live a few times. Absolute shredder with an ear for melody and phrasing. Hardcore Gibson with Marshall stack, no finger-tapping and only one record with whammy bar. And that crybaby wah pedal .....ShakeyWalton wrote: ↑08 Feb 2026 15:13 pmI'm listening to a live recording of theirs from 1979 right now during the Nine Lives tour. Richrath was just amazing. Having said that, truly, the amount of great "new" rock music the past 20 years is overwhelming: Red Sun Rising, Shinedown, Sleep Token, Seether, A Perfect Circle, anything with Chris Cornell, etc.
I listened to old stuff either through nostalgia or forced from canned music at grocery store!
As far as the earlier posts about Boston’s debut, it WAS great until radio beat it to death for the last 50 years. I much prefer Don’t Look Back now. Tunes like, Used to Bad News, A Man I’ll Never Be, Party, Feelin Satisfied, great stuff.

Man, am I envious of you sir! I wasn’t born until 1981, so I never came close to seeing Gary. He’s my guitar idol though, just ahead of Rory Gallagher. Richrath had so much more to offer us musically, but depression, alcohol and drugs, not to mention Cronin destroying the band, did Gary in. What concerts did you see and what were the venues?blues2112 wrote: ↑18 Feb 2026 20:45 pmConsider myself blessed to have heard Gary's Guitar Solo live a few times. Met them (briefly) when they played at Muny in late 1980s. As expected, very friendly Midwestern guys. Have a binder somewhere in the house with clippings from newspapers and magazines, band's autographs, ticket stubs, etc., as well as a Cronin-signed T-shirt.
REO would go only so far as them two of them together. Post "Life As We Know It" (geez, how did that record get made?!?!), the band fell off and Richrath was hardly successful.
Glad they were able to play together again before he passed, but Richrath sure looked rough. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfuehOpgT3o
Re: Fleetwood Mac Rumors
I have seen them live almost 50x, including plenty with Gary. I always laugh at the notion that Cronin “destroyed” the band. He was with then during the 70s too so why wasn’t the band destroyed then? Epic was going to drop them until Hi Infidelity came out. A lot of bands had to change their sound to keep afloat. Look at Aerosmith starting with Permanent Vacation.ShakeyWalton wrote: ↑18 Feb 2026 21:18 pmMan, am I envious of you sir! I wasn’t born until 1981, so I never came close to seeing Gary.
