Re: GDT: Blues at Hawks 8:30 TNT
Nathan Walker said he feels good and next couple practices will determine how he feels and go from there, so another addition to lineup appears imminent. Said his injury occurred in the game against Anaheim on Dec. 1. Is way ahead of original eight-week reevaluation.

It will be interesting to see who is in goal after the Binnington shutout and 3 days rest.

Not that Fabbri is some savior or anything but for a team starved of offense I wonder why he’s not playing. Again, not saying he’s an all star but he’d bring more offense than others.

Those are four lines that it won't be fun to play against. I wonder if the third-line youngsters will gel and take over a few shifts and cause damage soon...
Re: GDT: Blues at Hawks 8:30 TNT
I’m guessing when Holloway comes back Stenberg is the odd man out as it stands..

He might be banged up. His first games here, he threw more and better checks than we had any right to expect.Backesdraft wrote: ↑07 Jan 2026 11:36 am Not that Fabbri is some savior or anything but for a team starved of offense I wonder why he’s not playing. Re: GDT: Blues at Hawks 8:30 TNT
They might send him down as the most convenient move, BUT . . .
There is a sizable list of fourth line, depth, and waiver wire players accumulating on the roster, partly due to the injuries. I expect the GM office will do their job, keep their eye on the ball, and move guys who are not projected to be part of the solution (core) moving forward. It's not that hard.
So whether or not guys like Stenberg, Dvorsky Snuggerud, Breggren, even Toropchenko [all young] stick around is on them. If they individually show they belong in the NHL I'd bet they stay in the NHL.

I like the top 3 lines. Dont see Fabbri as an upgrade.
Walker vs Joseph or Walker vs Fabbri--Walker is feistier.

Valid question. I guess, for me, I’d like Fabbri in over Sunny, if for no other reason than his speed. I’m a big Sunny fan but his time in the league is waning for sure.BluesDom wrote: ↑07 Jan 2026 12:11 pmWhich others?Backesdraft wrote: ↑07 Jan 2026 11:36 am Not that Fabbri is some savior or anything but for a team starved of offense I wonder why he’s not playing. Re: GDT: Blues at Hawks 8:30 TNT
Sunny is a freak. Faksa was a freak.
Fabbri doesnt have the build of a Faksa or Sunny. Both big humans. That is what makes them so hard to play against imo.
Fabbri fits on the third line imo. However Stenberg (5 pts in 9 games) Dvorsky are better and they are big part of future. if Berggren (5 pts in 8 games) fails--he can slot in there imo. I like Berggren so far. He got a one game benching for his shoddy D--maybe he's set and plays good for a long while.
I do love the concept of a Nasty 4th line. Toropchenko and Sundqvist are large humans and Walker is mean as a Tasmanian devil.
If they falter Joseph and Fabbri are waiting. Same goes for anyone. Depth is good--probably see some Joseph and Fabbri working in.

Re: GDT: Blues at Hawks 8:30 TNT
Fabbri and Walker are about the same size- Fabbri is a little taller. Walker brings a lot more violence but I think Fabbri has better hands. Alternating them makes sense. Two good pieces for the 4th line mix.BluesDom wrote: ↑07 Jan 2026 12:38 pm Sunny is a freak. Faksa was a freak.

Re: GDT: Blues at Hawks 8:30 TNT
I hope that's not the case. I think Berggren is the odd man out and they move Neighbours or Buch over the RW.
Neighbours-Thomas-Kyrou
Holloway-Schenn-Buch
Stenberg-Dvo-Snuggerud Let the kids play
Re: GDT: Blues at Hawks 8:30 TNT
Most exciting part of watching the Blues for me right now is watching the kids try to prove themselves.
Dvorsky is cooling off a bit..
I like watching Fabbri back in there also.

Re: GDT: Blues at Hawks 8:30 TNT
Did the Blues make any roster moves or is Bjugstad still on IR? There's 24 players on this list.hotrivets wrote: ↑07 Jan 2026 10:21 am Late start since we are the second show of the double header on TNT.

EDIT: Confirmed that Bjugstad, Holloway, and Suter are all on IR. Will be interesting to see the roster moves to bring them back on, although chances are others will fall before then.
