The Prem season is halfway through. Some thoughts . . .
Arsenal holds a 4 point lead over ManCity. Can they hold it? My tendency is to root for anyone other than ManCity, but Arsenal is owned by Satan Kroenke. Ugh.
Aston Villa is 2 points behind ManCity. I don't see them making a run to the top. Liverpool is a distant fourth, 12 points off the top. That rounds out the CL spots.
For Europa, Chelsea and ManU are both three points behind Liverpool, and it gets crowded after that with promoted Sunderland, Everton, Brentford, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Tottenham, and Newcastle. That list is separed by 3 points first to last.
At the bottom, Wolves on are their way to regulation with only 3 points. Promoted Burnley and West Ham have a firm hold on the regulation spots. Nottingham Forrest is 4 points clear.
Looks like an interesting second half is in store.

Re: Premier League at the Turn
Lead is 6 pts after Man City's draw with Chelsea.
Going to come down to Man City/Arsenal for the league title as I don't think Villa has the juice and City's schedule looks relatively soft the rest of the way.
Man City host Arsenal in April which could be the decider.
Also, lots of teams bunched up at the top for promotion possibility from the League Championship, including everyone's favorite, Wrexham, who have won their last 4.

Re: Premier League at the Turn
I follow championship as my club, Hull City, have been there for a while. It's a very good league to follow. Coventry City , who has "never won the English football crown" has a decent lead, but 2-12 are contending for one automatic promotion spot and four playoff spots. Good times.todd-parker wrote: ↑05 Jan 2026 09:14 am Lead is 6 pts after Man City's draw with Chelsea.
