What kind oy free throw drills does Missouti utilize ?

I could provide Coach Gates with a good one that might help the woeful free throw situation. I called the drill, "Pressure Free Throws". Missed free throws dang near cost Mizzou a big SEC victory the evening.

Looks like they didn't do enough reps from grade school on up. Not much you can do for poor shooters at this level. Pierce is pretty bad on the line as well as Phillips. Some of these guys don't get to the line often, and hopefully they hit a few free throws. Repetition is the best therapy for a bad shooter, but it takes time, and outside regular practice time. I guarantee Denman and English got their free throw practice in outside regular practice. Some of these lads may not be gym rats like the good free throwers.

We’re not a great free throw shooting team and that speaks to preparation. So yeah, that’s probably something Gates needs to add to his list to learn as a head coach.

But we’re not terrible either. Part of it is, who are the guys getting to the line. Phillips is a really bad free throw shooter and he gets to the line quite a bit. As we saw last night, the scouting report is out and teams will foul him intentionally to essentially get a turnover. All the more reason, he should see his minutes dwindle. He doesn’t bring enough to the table otherwise to be valuable (like Shaq). He’s really impressing me less as the season goes along.

Gates can learn how not to beat a team with a pulse from Drink. Then he won't be dogged as usual for winning against a team with a pulse. This guy needs to get the hell out of here!

Richmond was #2 and was 10-22
