If 2 years ago rears it's ugly neck what do you think happens. Probably the best recruiting class in Missouri history coming for next season. Fire Gates they won't come retaining Gates the mizzou fan base is upset and fans quit supporting the program. Catch 22 Mizzou is predicated to win 5 SEC games, if that happens then no question Gates is back on a very hot seat.

I’d bet the farm we don’t go 0-18. But if we do struggle big time, you retain Gates next year, if I’m the AD. But it comes with severe stipulations. Hire a guru to handle player development and running X’s and O’s. Tell Gates his role is CEO and to keep the talent coming. Thats the only value Gates brings if we tank again this year.

Let’s hope we get everyone healthy, and this thing turns around. The SEC is down this year so it’s not impossible.

Less than 8 conf wins is a real problem.

We won't go 0 -18.
What I want to see is how does the team performs after Stone and Pierce come back.
Right now, Stone will have to be a "stabilizer" who directs the offense in the right direction.
Stone's role is actually the role that Robinson should be doing.
I also want to see if Pierce will improve in his third year and makes a major contribution.
If these players fail, we are in trouble.
TO, Boateng, Randall, and Burns still have a long way to make a contribution to the team.
Gates should actually take the "training wheels" off Burns and see how he does. Gates has nothing to lose to get Burns more playing time. Let's see if Burns can hold up and not get injured.
I have a feeling this team will be a "mess" and the first four games of the season will actually "confirm" how bad this team is. I sincerely hope I am wrong.

I’ve always been a fan of Pierce, especially for what he brings on the defensive side. But I’m wondering if we’ll see him at all this year. And if he does, how effective will he be after all this time.

Coach Gates just reported that both Stone and Pierce would see time in the next game.

It is extremely difficult to go 0-18 (0-19). You have to be incredibly bad and unlucky and only Mizzou could pull that off. We will win a few games, but no way we win more than 5, even with everyone back. The roster and team makeup is a disaster and our coach is a used car salesman.

That year we often played 4 against 5 considering our 5’10” point guard that got about 30 minutes a game who couldn’t play D1 defense. We will win a few.

Getting Stone and Pierce back already stopped the winless conversation. We looked like a different team last night.

Now to see how much we can improve throughout the conference season and see where we are when the dust settles. I’m feeling better about having a shot at the tourney after all.

The SEC is down. Witness Florida for example. Their guard play is bad. There are a lot of so-so teams this year. Ole Miss, MSU, Texas, aTm, LSU, SC. And some usually good but question mark teams like UT, UK, Auburn. Vandy, Arky and UGA look improved, but who knows yet? Bama is looking like the best of the bunch, but we shall see.

I was pleasantly surprised. We looked really good building that 10-point lead. After that, kinda shaky. Fortunately, FL missed a lot of shots. Boogie isn't Clayton. Big difference! Big win though. Keep building on that performance & we may make The Dance. Does the OP want to bet on 1-17 now?

All of a sudden we have become good again? I'm hopeful, but not sold just yet. While the game against Florida has given us all some hope, those dreadful beat downs tell me not to plan a parade just yet.
