Blues have, and have had for a long time, a big problem CLEARING THE PUCK.

That wasn't a systemic issue, it was a mental error by Mailloux and he knows it. He'll learn.

He does know how to shoot. That’s why he plays in the overtimes and the shootouts-but that’s for another time (unless we go to overtime tonight).

That was nice passing from Kyrou to Stenberg to Schenn.

Then Fabbri had a nice cross ice long pass to Snuggerud for a shot on goal. More of those…

Who could have foreseen that putting point-blank shots on the net instead of passing could result in something positive?

Clearly the Sabres thought Schenn would pass. Both the goalie and 2 Dmen were covering the pass and basically giving him the shot. lol

Maybe that was their genius plan all along. Now they'll take the shot the rest of the season and lead the league in scoring!

Of any blue I have ever seen, Schenn has whiffed on more empty nets than anyone and it’s not close.

100%. Just because he’s improved from his disturbing level of bad doesn’t mean he’s been very good. He just passed it directly on a Sabre’s tape in the neutral zone before the break.

I also don’t like that he hasn’t shown much of his offensive strength. Again better than before but I hate having him this season as a team that is right on the border of making/missing the playoffs.

Yea. He’s been better than he was. But the advanced stats have him as the 2nd worst game average in the entire league for players with more than 10 games played. He was last for a long time but Romanov for the Isles recently “passed” him.

He’s got a long way to go. Much longer than many here are willing to admit.
