But he’s been picking fights in both games with the Blues…..he’s tough now right?

He was referring to this being Neighbors 20th game due to him being injured. 8 goals per 20 games would be a 30 goal pace. I could understand the confusuion though, with the way it was said.Russdv14 wrote: ↑12 Dec 2025 21:20 pm Boucigrass (however the announcer spells his name), doesn’t do math very well or my hearing is as poor as my wife says it is) . He said that Neighbours scored eight goals in 20 games so he’s on his way to a 30 goal season. The travel is we played 32 games already
For the game, let’s hope we score 4,and I think it’ll be over if we score 4

Would be nice. Couple of shots, some hits, and a takeaway on DD's stat line.TruBlueFan_1970 wrote: ↑12 Dec 2025 20:14 pmAnd to me, this has been one of the better games that Dvorsky has played. Sounds crazy, but could Fabbri be the type of player that kicks Dvo in the (bleep) to start just playing hockey?!?!?!? DawgDad - whatcha think brother?

Granted it was the Hawks but they have been playing better of late. Blues need anything positive and ANY wins to get them going the right direction. They were taking more shots, going to the net, and winning some puck battles.
Bedard has been willing to get his nose dirty and injuries are part of the risk. I give him credit and hope the injury is nothing major.
From CBC:
Chicago star Connor Bedard was injured on a last-second faceoff in a 3-2 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Friday night and will miss his team's game the following day.
With 0.8 seconds left, Bedard attempted to win the draw to give Chicago one last chance, but he was knocked down by Blues centre Brayden Schenn. He grasped at his right shoulder and immediately headed to the locker room, accompanied by a trainer, while his teammates remained on the ice and the bench.
"He won't play tomorrow," Chicago coach Jeff Blashill said of the team's game at home against Detroit on Saturday night. "I won't know more info tomorrow, so don't ask me tomorrow. At some point through the weekend, I'll know more, so I'd probably have more info come Monday."
Asked whether Bedard's injury would only be short-term, Blashill offered few details.
"I'd hate to say that without knowing the information," he said. "Until we get the information, again, he's not going to play tomorrow."
Bedard ranked fifth in the NHL in points heading into the game, and he assisted on both of Chicago's goals in the loss. He now has 12 goals and 25 assists.
He was pushed into desperation mode when the Blues iced the puck and a half-second was put back on the clock. Blashill said he'd have to see the play again, but his initial impression was that nothing dirty occurred on the play.
"Honestly, I think it's a freak accident," Blashill said, "to be honest with you."

I showed my wife the last play and begged her to stay and watch me laugh at Bedard going off in such agony with the 3-2 Final score above his head. Maybe I'm mean, but after the shenanigans with Neighbours earlier he just gets completely manhandled by Schenn to end the game
So we play against a young team and look good. Play against Stamkos and ROR....
Luff looked good in preseason, and he's doing what we need on the 4th line. Decent showing from McGing as well, and they have some chemistry.
Fabbri is the man! The fun and excited look on his teammates' faces when he ran Teravainen into the bench...pure glee and joy.
Mailloux finally gets in a fight and looks the part. He's gaining confidence. Oh and that goal...
Dvo looking more intense.
Hofer regained form. Solid.
The way I see it, we're still technically in it, but our Goals Differential needs to improve substantially if we're going to be serious. Same as was said last year, we need to be more consistent. We either make a Fowler-like trade or ride it off into the sunset, hoping to catch magic after the break....
Looking like Fabbri is this year's Fowler. Chase mentioned perspective. Fabbri's bringing some of that along with some desperation. I'm not saying he wasn't scrappy at all, but I was pleasantly surprised to see #9 flying around throwing the body against NSH...and then again last night. There's a spark that no one saw coming!

TBH I happy for the Blues win and beat those Hawks.....in reality that was one of the sloppiest hockey games I have seen between both teams. Only [shirt] both teams could not pass or hold on to pucks. A win is a win.
