No I'm saying he has 1 less point than Pius Suter who we are paying 4.125 a year. League value isn't based off the numbers you are putting up against only your teammates but the entire league. Once again when it comes to defenseman.. ice time and pairing are the key factors... average salary for first pairing defenseman with 22-25 minutes a night is between 9-11 million. So Yes Broberg is being penalized for lack of points when you look at my evaluationtheograce wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025 17:59 pmCatches fire? He’s up there with team leaders for goals. Yes, Armstrong overpaid based off the production both had but that was because he was betting on their talent and based off the playoffs he thought Edmonton was sand bagging Broberg. Why do you think they were so (upset) when we signed him? Screwed up their whole plan for roster management. I have to admit I'm not even sure what your arguing. Do you think he is going to get 6.5? Unless he catches fire and gets back up to 55-65 pts this year the long term 8x8 isn't happening. So what do you think he is going to get?theograce wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025 17:41 pmSand bagging lol. Armstrong was lying when he said he overpaid? You’re all over the place.StLouis-4Life2 wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025 17:40 pmOnce again he didn't. He is earning 4.58, can even say 4.6 if you want but not 5. Second, it was clear Edmonton was sand bagging him for the next contract like the cardinals have done to keep certain players affordable. He was going to sign with anyone who was going to pay him anything because he knew that was happening. He was clearly a casualty of personal managementtheograce wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025 17:35 pmThere are many key factors man. Why did Broberg get 5 million (massive raise) averaging 11 minutes?StLouis-4Life2 wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025 17:31 pm Well, the key factor for salary with forwards is pts and the key factor for defenseman is ice time (27:58 today). There is definitely other factors for both but they only move the salary so much. Have to remember most 34-36 pt forwards are only getting paid around 3.5, so I feel that 5.5-6 million is accounting for some of those factors. Don't get me wrong, I like Holloway and expect him to bounce back to 60-70 pts next year but there hasn't been a track record yet. That's why I think the bridge deal is inevetiable
Ice time + production matters for Holloway but not Broberg is what you argued. It’s funny

If you want to make fun of the multi banned, multi ID gay loser…..go ahead….but don’t argue with him. He’ll just lie, and then claim victory even when you obviously kicked the (bleep) out of him.
When he clips your posts…it means he knows he’s losing. Next comes the lies.
It’s kinda funny but sad at the same time.

I’m starting to think that maybe Holloway could be the trade chip for another nhl level defenseman. I think he’ll get his game going again, but our organizational depth is still at wing. And I’d prefer to trade Buch, but I don’t think he brings anything of value back right now.
