Buch must be our best player
He’s on the power play unit and on the ice three on three. Very puzzling.

Look at his ice time too. RT played over 21 minutes and then Buch, Holloway and Snuggy all played right around the same; 17:30 - 17:40. It seriously makes me question Montgomerys coaching ability. If I’m Kyrou or Suter or even someone like Sunny, I’m confused. No wonder the Blues can’t win.

He was a +1 in tackling.

You’ve got to sit him. He’s out and out dragging the whole team down now.

The more the madness continues the more scrutiny it’s going to attract. These are not the actions of a well respected coach. It’s not just that he never sits, it’s that he plays top 3 mins at forward every night. And in spots where he currently has no chance to contribute. I mean this is like putting Nolan Gorman at SS to protect a one run lead late in games. Something is amiss.Backesdraft wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025 21:26 pm Look at his ice time too. -3 tonight. Enough said.
Re: Buch must be our best player
He must kill it in practice....
Re: Buch must be our best player
The only reasoning I can think of is that he hustles. Even though he hustles to take penalties, miss shots, turn over pucks,….
Re: Buch must be our best player
What was odd is that Buchnevich started on the third line and played what looked like top minutes on top lines throughout the game

I’m wondering if Monty is displaying him hoping for a trade or if he’s trying to force Army to move him.

Hasn’t scored at even strength
You’ll never see that again your lifetime on the blues is my guess

I can't really tell if he's lost speed and quickness, he still plays hard but his productivity has been waning every season. Now, his hands and wrists have gone stone cold, he fumbles pucks, passes, and shot attempts constantly. Makes me wonder if he's been playing with a wrist injury. If not, there's little hope for him to improve.

I don’t know who Lou Korak is but he’s right and the comments below are in agreement with what we’re saying

Monty is coaching like someone with 100% job security...and that's never a good thing.

Re: Buch must be our best player
Would it be addition by subtraction? Because at this point we aren’t getting anything of value back for Buch. Would everyone be comfortable with the trade off simply being the removal of his contract?Galatians221jb1 wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025 22:37 pm I’m wondering if Monty is displaying him hoping for a trade or if he’s trying to force Army to move him.
I would, but IF he’s traded it won’t be anything but a salary dump. Hell, we might have to throw in a draft pick to get some other team to take him off our hands.
