I have little doubt it is a shout out to Theo Fleury, a very height challenged player with First Nations blood, who arguably overcame as many obstacles as anyone else who ever played in the NHL. He not only overcame them- he became a hero and possibly a legend.

One of the obstacles he overcame was being sexually abused by the infamous Graham James as a Junior player. He wrote a best-selling book about that, which became a sensation.

5. Army's source of talent was drying up because of the salary cap going up.
6. Army is absolute lousy at finding significant talent in the NHL draft.
