In re: Berube/Kyrou
It was January 2019 in LA on MLK day, I was at the game, we had awesome seats behind the Blues bench. They had been playing well enough they could and should have won this game, they were turning it around. Who cost them? Kyrou. He took a brutally stupid penalty in the second period that gave LA momentum, turned the game around and the Kings won. MacKenzie Maceachern actually scored his first NHL goal in this game.
So after the goal Kyrou skates back to the bench with the skate of shame and I looked in his eyes, I could see defeat in them. Berube did not play him another minute that entire season, and the 11 game win streak started two days later in Anaheim. (A game that was credited to great Blues play but of all the pro sporting contests I have ever seen, I watched a Ducks team straight quit on their coach on the ice that game. It was a shocking performance, something like 13 shots.)
Later on if Berube hurt his li'l boy fee fees, good, Stomp his dumb fee fees, it's a man's game. Berube crossed no line, sorry. Kyrou got called out because he is a pansy and plays like one. He should want out. He should go sulk somewhere.

Berube resorted to calling him out publicly because nothing he ( nor ANYONE else) has tried to do has made a dent in Kyrou's attitude.

Re: Trade Rumors heating up
I am not sure its characterized by an attitude issue its his playing style. I dont think anyone has said Kyrou has a bad attitude in fact hes worked on 5v5 every summer, got stronger has definitely developed a better 200' game. BUT its inconsistent. For me Kyrou falls into the trap of thinking he can produce in the NHL by speed and skill alone. Kyrou lapses into periods where he stops checking with intensity, using hes speed to get in on pucks, win pucks, yes battle in the corner. He doesnt have to crush guys to go in a corner and come out with a puck it takes effort and persistence.Harry York 37 wrote: ↑07 Nov 2025 12:58 pmHear! The Blues will tell today that Thomas, Kyrou, Buch and Holloway have had long lapses where they havent competed hard enough for pucks anywhere on the ice

Emotions don't operate on could would or should....it would sure be a lot easier if they did though.

Kyrou for Boeser, get 'er done!
Re: Trade Rumors heating up
Kind of a odd game to call out seeing as how at the time Kyrou was probably just an injury call upseattleblue wrote: ↑07 Nov 2025 12:50 pm In re: Berube/Kyrou
