To those loving the Bloom Era

Post by Chip Matthews »

Stop drinking the kool-aid. Management hasn't changed. Ownership hasn't changed.
Bloom is going to give away every half star the Cardinals have.
Winn might be gone. Donovan is gone. Noot is gone. Herara is gone. Burleson is gone.
Bloom was brought in to lower payroll. This isn't a rebuild, it's the DeWitts selling or just raping us fans.
Give up on the Bloom thing. He proved he was a patsy by keeping Marmol.

We've already been in sad times for a few years. You're right in that ownership is half of the problem, as well as Mo (was).

May as well try something new on the decision making side, but he will definitely be limited payroll wise. That and the fact that the Dodgers sign 3 elite players every year makes for a boring sport. Time to finally make some changes to the rules.

You seem angry that things may change and angry that nothing will change at the same time. Winn and Herrera are definitely not gone. Burleson probably is not gone. Noot should be, but probably can't be gone. If the product does not improve from what it was the business will dry up and not come back. There is a motivation here to change. Whether that will be to your liking or not is another matter.

I’m happy for it. Bloom might end up being awful and not being able to turn the franchise around but mo definitely wasn’t able to turn the organization around after slowly destroying it over the years. Bloom already has points in my book because he’s bringing in a lot of people from other good organizations instead of doing the mo create an echo chamber of yes men around yourself from within the organization approach

No one is “loving the Bloom era.” They’ve played zero games in the Bloom era.

Folks are optimistic that it will be better than the late-Mo era. Can’t blame them.
