Trade Rumors heating up

Post by theograce »

Blues allegedly getting calls. Binnington, Kyrou, Thomas, Schenn. Makes sense.

Need to find a way to move Kyrou given that both sides aren’t happy.

I watched a podcast and they said Vancouver wanted Sunny. He's too valuable to trade for anything lower than a second round pick and Vancouver won't give the Blues a second rounder. I wouldn't trade anyone. The Blues are going to come out of this funk.

I wish i could be a fly on the wall in those conversations. Unless he IS the problem or a part of a core of problem children i would wsnt to move him. At the same time the guys in that office know who/what the real problem is. If kyrou is a part of it i hope they can get faur value and not become a whole thing. I would much rather see buch go and it seems realistic that buch could have some sort of problem with someone in particular. He just seems like a different player(even with his little talk shows)

You can scratch Thomas off that list. He is not going anywhere.

If Kyrou had near the value the Blues attach to him, he would have been long gone already.

Doesnt make sense. Even if the Blues over value him in the market. They have to know if hes a problem. If he is then you knew that long before now. You could have shopped him up the draft board during the rewhatever and started fresh. Kyrou and 19 get you something. Although his resume was hindered at the time, kyrou and 16 the year before gets you something.

They have been open to moving him for a very long time. Top guys in the game have said the Blues are motivated to move him. He’s a winger who is unhappy and who a Stanley Cup coach publicly said … does not care.

Not getting any solid offers for that

With his brother now on Philly; my guess Kyrou to Philly for Matvei Michkov.

Army said in Feb 2025 that they tried tweaking everything except the longest-held players, and nothing has changed. He implied that it may be time to dump the longest-held ones.

I suspect that Army has been trying to unload Kyrou since then, but the return value was not there. And, how does a GM trade one of their highest-paid players for a bag of practice pucks, and save face?

At this point, a desperate dump may be in order. There will be some sort of face-saving aspect for Army in it. Other players will be involved such that the actual value received for Kryou is not evident.

And do what exactly?

Over the past 94 games

Utah has more points
Flames have as many points
Ducks are closing in

They will come out of this funk...but is it too little too late? This conference is brutal...we may already have dug too big a hole. Now Sunny too valuable? You would probably get a 5th and I am surprised there would be any interest.
