Is Coleman Jr. a serious deep threat to go along with Johnson?

I would love for there to be an extra second to find out.
He is only 8 ypg behind his average from last season and on pace for two more receptions.

whine - 0 should have been a coach, I wonder if drink knows what a valuable asset he has availablewinonsports wrote: ↑31 Oct 2025 15:52 pmYes, but it's a team game.
He will need the OL to block and the WR to create space.

He has similar numbers this year as his all SEC season in '24.

Re: Will Zollers give opponents a deep pass threat?
It seemed like the protection for Zollers was good enough the way he navigates the pocket to go through his reads and go downfield. He looked good back there. And he throws a nice ball. Our pass protection hadn’t seemed that great all year, but it makes you wonder if that’s just an advantage Zollers has over Pribula. Maybe Pribula just doesn’t have the footwork and the patience / vision that Zollers has. If that’s the case Zollers has a BRIGHT future.
I wish Zollers had an easier next game to help get his footing, but it’s A&M and that’s life in the SEC. It’s also a great opportunity. Hope he’s able to get it done.

They wouldn’t let him throw downfield against Central Arkansas, Louisiana and UMass. What makes you think they’ll let him throw downfield against A&M?

It would be better if he did not.

aTm is already in the CFP - that's their focus now. Key aTm players getting rocked at MU would be a disaster for them.

So here’s a thought. Zollers ignites the offense, the defense plays lights out down the stretch. We win the remaining games in impressive fashion.
Do we get special consideration for the playoffs vs other 10-2 teams including potentially Vandy and Bama because we obviously turned a corner with a new QB and are a different team?
Lots of water under the bridge before that can happen, but that would be swell.

Re: Will Zollers give opponents a deep pass threat?
Going into the season, the anticipation of seeing Hardy, Pribulla and Coleman Jr. in action for Mizzou was great. Now, seeing how Zollers competes against an undefeated SEC team might trump that. The freshmen combo of Zollers and Olugbode could be one of the best freshmen passing/receiving duos in the nation.

If by some chance MU catches lightening in a bottle with Zollers and goes 10-2 with the national media playing him up I guarantee you a playoff spot.
Miami should be nowhere near a playoff spot and others ahead of MU in the rankings will cannibalize themselves the next 4 weeks.

Playoff? whose talking playoffs? LOL wow you guys really have no idea about anything.
Thing is it's a baby QB who is much more talented than the guy who got hurt who was doing a decent job but with the one of worst OC's in SEC. Idiot didn't have any go routes in his play book till it was final minutes and he had no choice. You HAVE to run some deep routes to keep the secondary honest and not let them creep up to take away middle of field and in run support. Yet the MORON didn't do this very basic thing.
Doesn't take hardly any time to launch the go route you snap the ball and step into it. he has much strong er arm than Beau but HE had plenty of arm to do same.
What's a joke is the incompetent Kirby will try to simplify offense to accommodate the kid but his regular plays are too simple and predictable.
But literally One game at a time boys. Goal is no longer playoffs but winning each game which IS possible. Will they? that's why they play the game. Let the season play out. Thanks for the laughs you clueless dudes kill me.

If we go 10-2 and look good doing it, we’ll be in contention for the playoffs. It’s not guaranteed but we’ll have a decent chance.hdhntr148 wrote: ↑02 Nov 2025 07:19 am Playoff? whose talking playoffs? LOL wow you guys really have no idea about anything.

I've forgotten more football than you know. Nobody said anything about being a shoe in for the post season with this QB.hdhntr148 wrote: ↑02 Nov 2025 07:19 am Playoff? whose talking playoffs? LOL wow you guys really have no idea about anything.

My response had to do with a possible scenario in discussion with another poster and how it would be favorable in the eyes of the media which loves these kinds of stories.
Stick with your obvious cliche takes which makes you look woefully uninformed.
