So depressing

Post by swatski »

Was looking forward to 6-7 months of Blues hockey. If they can’t turn this around it will be just like the Cardinals for me. I won’t even be interested in watching any hockey. By the way I’m also a NO Saints fan. Not interested in NFL at all either.
At 73 and retired, I can only do so much reading and TV watching.

I hear ya.

I do think the Blues will find their rhythm at some point and be the competitive team most of us thought they would be. If they don’t do it soon, however, by the time they’re playing well again it may already be too late. Can’t expect another 11 game win streak.

I’m willing to give it until Thanksgiving.

If you look at the NHL standings and check each team’s last 10 games record, there really isn’t a team that’s running away with it right now. A lot of the top teams from last season are actually sitting in the middle of the standings this year.

The most depressing thing about all this is.

The [jack-wagons] who are having a podcast while the games on. It Stops me from being able to close my eyes and fall asleep, during one of the many bad games that comes with a team that builds to battle along a board.

Just call the [fork]ing game. I don't care what you learned from bar room trivia. I don't care you sat next to Crosby( I mean he brought a picture from his house, to show us) Clearly a proud moment. But who does that.

I think we have scored five goals so far this season while these jack[wagon]s were telling us how smart, cool, and connected they are.

Not only has Army made this unwatchable, His need for a statue has made this unsleepable as well.

This is actually the issue though. Dallas, EDM and the Kings all have gotten off to slow but ok starts. They are expected to be playoff teams. The fact that Utah, Seattle, ANA and even the Hawks have gotten off to hot starts complicates the plight for the Blues. We will be chasing those 2nd tier teams for a WC berth if we turn it around. They have a big head start, especially Utah who is leading the Central. Blues are digging a hole too soon, too fast.

Wow! You said it. Since I don’t live in STL anymore, 98% of my Blues watching is on TV with JK and Panger, then Rivers. Rarely heard Kerbs except when my TV feed was blacked out. So I had no idea how bad Kerbs & Joey are together.

The color commentator should be effing SILENT during the play with the possible exception when the puck is at center ice!!! And when he does interject when warranted, it should quick and to the point.

This isn’t just a problem with our two chatterboxes — the network broadcasts on ESPN and TNT are just as bad and sometimes even worse.

Part of the problem is losing the games where the Blues had a big lead and faltered.

Going up 1-0 last night and it's like...ok now what.

Well "what" was 4 unanswered goals against.

Going forward this is going to be a huge task to overcome the doubts they have created for themselves. Not just losing but how they have lost and how to turn it around.

I've seen the Blues go 3-6-1 before over 10 games, but not with 6 cratering, humiliating losses like that. I'm watching Fischer (his live game Sarnia at Owen Sound is in the second period at the moment!) and Owen Sound is destroying them 5-0 thinking about how the Blues leaders are caveable emotionally because that is what we've witnessed.

"Caveable emotionally" might be the theme of the year, so far.

That, or the title of Kyrou's debut album as a singer songwriter, to be released on Instagram.

Hey at least Lukas Fischer just controlled a PP and got his team on the board with a perfect assist. He is going to be part of the solution in a couple years

Armstrong would have been fired in other markets I believe.

Not many championship teams become this impotent so quickly. Since the Cup it’s been pretty marginal at best with some terrible huge decisions that backfired
