At this point it is just becoming laughable.

With Freeman and Betts starting to age it might not be a bad idea. (Muncy and Smith)... Among others.

Who cares. He’s merely a role player on that team. Money can’t buy you love.

Put all the studs on one team, then we only got one team to beat.

There are at least 10 other teams who could easily afford Tucker, with the hometeam being another as their tiny payroll could fit ANY elite contract but they choose not to.
So stop with LA ruining baseball. Their ownership structure allows them to focus on WINNING and not profit, or worrying about year to year profit and winning begets eyeballs which begets revenue….
We see the opposite here. NOONE wants to watch this disorganized talentless mess.
So again LA ownership has MULTIPLE MULTI Billionares who made and make their money elsewhere and don’t care about an annual check from Dodgers LLC.

Well there are some players that want to win and are willing to defer money to get on a team that will. You can't blame him if he signs with the powerhouse Dodgers. Baseball is broken. Until they do something to even the field there will always be the haves and havenots. If baseball doesn't fix it , it just narrows the fanbase further and further until only fans of the best teams even show up. I expect there to be a long work stoppage in the near future.

Been saying Tucker is Dodger bound for months.

He's NOT worth $400M.

But the way the Dodgers structure contracts he may get over $300M w/a whole lot deferred.

Unless S. Cohen decides to go toe-to-toe w/the Guggenheim Group, then he's in Dodger blue which is better than Baby Bear blue.

I agree with this! If Tucker or any other top free agent signs with L.A., and they win the WP World Series again, that could be the final straw that causes the other owners to band together to put a stop to the way things are going. The backlash from other teams’ fan bases will really start to manifest, big time! Baseball as a whole won’t survive this!
I can’t imagine even other players being content knowing unless they are playing for the Dodgers, they’re odds of ever winning a WS is extremely low!

The Dodgers, Mets, Phillies, and Yankees will all pursue Tucker. This will assure him of getting the maximum contract in terms of salary and length. I expect he will sign with the Dodgers, as they continue to assemble a roster which no other team can match in terms of talent.

The Dodgers manager alluded to this with his statement. Something like, "Let's win 4 more games and really ruin baseball." Of course he's probably upset that people are basically calling them the best team money can buy....but it's true.

They don't have to worry about profit, because they make profit before they even sell tickets.

lol but which of those teams would he rather play for if
Given the same amount of money? The dodgers who are guaranteed a post season and have been to the World Series 5 of the past 9 years or one of the others where he’s hoping they make it to the World Series? Going to the dodgers is pretty much a guarantee you will go deep into the post season and see World Series action if you stay amount of time no other team in baseball even comes close
