I think Ed Van Impe was wearing concrete skates that night. By the end of the evening, his jock strap was seen around his neck!

If anyone has ever been able to find some quality footage of Red in his prime, I'd sure like to see it. In this thread, or start one. Had a chance to meet him once, as a kid. He was wonderfully kind to me.

I saw him play a LOT, at the arena & on trusty Channel 11. He was a very smooth, deceptive, agile skater, the class of the expansion league.
