I am trying to understand why onhockey has literally every level of every European and Asian and Oceanic country for hockey including livestreams of minor league women's hockey and British hockey, and it also has all the N/A leagues including the OHL but does not have WHL or QMJHL games apparently any more. like seriously wtf. I tried watching his game on Friday and it was not there. He plays again in two hours from now. And every game in the world is available today but not the super obscure QMJHL ...
Victory+ shows some WHL games. It's free. They even have replays.
I appreciate this! This is going to be an uncertain year for prospect attention. I intend to scope Fischer and Carbo and Springfield as often as possible and I'm going to watch some of Colin Ralph at Michigan State. They have two weekends against Gavin McKenna / Penn State this year, the first of which is in about a month on the 7th/8th. onhockey will likely add the Q and Dub, it's really incongruous to have every level of German and Slovakian and French hockey leagues available and also the OHL but not the other two CHL leagues. I think it will fix itself but I might not see his initial games as much.

Buchnevich isn't needed either (Neighbours can play LW with Thomas)

Too bad the both have NTCs.
I agree, they are the main future RWs but trading a proven 40 goal scorer and a proven almost PPG player and replacing them with basically unproven talent at this point is pure folly.
"Folly" is not the word I would have used to describe such a comment. Kudos to you for keeping it respectful.

I kept checking to see if I could get the Sunday afternoon game but no. They lost 2-1 in OT and he didn't score

I hear Broberg could command up to 10 million and Holloway will get around 9 per season.

In the meantime until Carbonneau's future max deal; they'll have Neighbours, Binnington, Hofer & Snuggeruud's contracts to deal with. A good player or two are gonna have to go, at the expense of the Kyrou & Buchnevich deals.
I'd just wrap them up now. No use in tempting fate and seeing their numbers go bananas this season.
Snuggy just signed his deal. He's got 3 years on his ELC before we even start THINKING of paying him. He doesn't officially hit UFA until Thomas. Kyrou, and Buch's deals are done. Schenn's contract is up before his ELC even ends. You're not going to pay both Binnington AND Hofer. It'll be one or the other. If Binny signs a retirement deal here. Hofer will be dealt to make room for younger and cheaper. As long as the cap keeps increasing, It'll all work out in the end.
Snuggy only has 2 years left on his ELC as he burned the first year playing the last few games of last season. His contract ends before Schenn’s does. As well as Thomas, Kyrou and Buch.

Thanks for the catch, I was doing basic math (never a good idea for me) off of years not seasons. We'll have one season between Schenn's ending and Snuggy's second deal.

Snuggy is a RFA after next season...he'll need a deal soon
Then Carbonneau after that

Holloway, Broberg, Neighbours, Maillioux, Binnington or Hofer all will be looking to cash in soon
I don't understand the concern. Are you suggesting the Blues will be offering 9+ a year to Jimmy Snuggerud in 2 years? Don't get me wrong, I hope he plays in a way that DEMANDS 9+ a year. Faulk is done after next year, are you looking to sign Mailioux to more than that long term? Next year the cap goes up 8.5, followed by a 9.5 increase the year after. This is not something to panic over.

I believe that's an 80-goal pace. He needs to pick it up if he wants to hit 100.

He is going to score a lot of goals, that's for sure. Sometimes when a junior team commonly romps, though, it distorts things. Spokane with Cristall and Catton last year were doing this, so it was tough to discern what they'd look like in less imbalanced games. To a lesser extent I wondered this about Nick Lardis (Hawks prospect) with Brantford - Jiricek's team. I mean Lardis just lit it up last year but when Brantford would win they would romp some teams.

Carbo's Boybanders are going to tour the maritimes and Quebec and steal the hearts of thousands this year, and romp some games. He will have gobs of 3 and 4 point nights this year. Lotta highlights incoming

How can Broberg command "up to 10 million" right now, he has one full NHL of 68 games and 29 pts. He will go to arbitration IF Army waits that long which probably means that Broberg didnt overwhelm the Blues and they feel reluctancy. He can command whatever he wants but to do in that rare air of contracts he'll need a monster season.
Same story with Holloway, one pretty good season also arbitration eligible.
I would love these monster deals to be a given because that means both players exceeded expectations but we have to get there first

Because Lacombe & L.Hughes both just received 9 per season and Broberg has played just as good or slightly better than both early in their careers. Anyway, take it up with BK & Ferrario...they're the ones that said it.

This seems debatable. Certainly not Luke Hughes, who put up almost double the points Broberg did last year in his age 20 and 21 seasons.

Getting paid is the least of this teams worries if they keep laying 5-0 eggs. So peeved thought about canceling my ESPN sub. But that same temptation hit me last year (early season Bannister) but things worked out. So I'ill hold my horses - but they better get their head out instead of admiring their paychecks!

So far, L.Hughes has never had a plus season. As I said "just as good or slightly better early in their careers".

So, the contract negotiations will start around 9 million. I'd be surprised and relieved if it was any lower.

Oh, and 44 isn't double 29 (that would be almost 60)

I appreciate that Carbonneau is going to be putting up a lot of points with a talented team, but would his overall game have been better developed if he had gone the NCAA route?
