Seems like there has to be another move coming
Re: Cuts made this morning
Ellis, Skinner, Kessel, Lucic and Texier still fighting for the final spots.moose-and-squirrel wrote: ↑05 Oct 2025 09:06 aminteresting Skinner is still up

Roster needs to be set by tomorrow, I'd expect some more news later today(Ellis and one of the D put on waivers; Lucic cut or Tex waived).

Re: Cuts made this morning
Today is the day. Teams have to submit their 23-man rosters to the league by 4pm Central tomorrow. So there will be a lot of players placed on waivers today league-wide. We’ll find out who around 1pm. It’ll be either Kessel or Skinner on waivers.moose-and-squirrel wrote: ↑05 Oct 2025 09:06 aminteresting Skinner is still up

Might also see someone like Texier on waivers if they intend to sign Lucic in his place. But tbh, I doubt it. I’d keep Tex…for now.

Maybe they move Kessel and keep Skinner as the 7th Dman

You think if they were gonna cut Looch they would have done so by now. Skinner intrigues me, he looked great last night. With that said, Kessel was out there trying to earn a spot as well. I’d hate to lose Skinner though at this point.
Texier needs to go

Ellis has to go thru waivers, yeah? If so, he's prolly the last guy they send downkimzey59 wrote: ↑05 Oct 2025 09:09 amEllis, Skinner, Kessel, Lucic and Texier still fighting for the final spots.moose-and-squirrel wrote: ↑05 Oct 2025 09:06 aminteresting Skinner is still up

Yes, Ellis is also waiver eligible now. I feel like the Blues purposely played him very little in the preseason so other teams couldn’t really see enough of him to justify claiming him.moose-and-squirrel wrote: ↑05 Oct 2025 09:26 amEllis has to go thru waivers, yeah? We'll see...
I think, kind of hope they keep Skinner rather than Kessel. It seems that he may have more grit.
I am not sure about Texier or Lucic? They may waive Texier, if he gets claimed, then who knows what may come next.
Ellis may get lost on waivers? Or maybe they let Lucic go too along with Texier, and keep Ellis on the roster hoping to trade soon. Or maybe there is already a deal in place with another team for the unknown "trade for futures," wherein another team gets their waiver claim in first immediately?...I don't know exactly how all of that works. But it does sound like Ellis has value that is hard to see go away.
It's not easy...

Re: Cuts made this morning
I’d like to see them give Skinner a shot based on the preseason games.
I think I’d keep Texier and see if there’s a way to extend Lucic’s tryout.
Ellis I didn’t know he needed to pass waivers.

Re: Cuts made this morning
well the upside is there's already been some goalie movement, so if teams had Ellis on their radar, they wouldn't have already made those movesSTL fan in MN wrote: ↑05 Oct 2025 09:37 amYes, Ellis is also waiver eligible now. here's hopin anyways lol
Re: Cuts made this morning
No Ellis, Skinner or Lucic in practice this morning per Korac/JR.
Looks like we got our roster.
Not sure I agree with these roster decisions(IMO Skinner outplayed Kessel and both Stenberg and Dvorsky outplayed Texier).

No surprise it’s what the organization does. Don’t wanna start the clock on those ELCs too early
