My list of players to get rid of

Post by tommydin »

Mikilas, Palontee, Gorman, Nootbarr and Walker.
This is my opinion and I know many will disagree, but that’s okay.

Mikilas, Whoever that is, he's a free agent
Palontee, What position does he play?

Gorman, Nootbarr and Walker. One and maybe two of these guys will probably go. In my mind, Noot is almost certain to be traded. Gorman is a maybe. Walker will be here, possibly in AAA

Perhaps a list of players to keep would be appropriate…..and clearly shorter

My list is a lot more radical
Pitchers
Alcala
Ryan Fernandez
Mikolas
Pallante
Roycroft
Veneziano
Munoz
Gray (Salary)
Catchers
Pages ( like him, he has value, but Crooks has more upside)
Infield
Nolan Arenado (Salary)

José Fermín

Nolan Gorman

César Prieto

Outfielders

Nootbaar

Jordan Walker

Correct. Winn is safe. Probably Walker and Scott II also. McGreevy, Libertore, Jojo and one or two relievers are probably safe. Everyone else is on the table. Probably Winn is the only untouchable. Maybe McGreey and Libertore too.

It’s easier to focus on the keepers for 2026

Winn
Wetherholt
Contreas or Burleson
Herrera
Saggese
Scott
Libby
McGreevey
Leahy
O’Brien
Svanson

The rest can go either by trade, non-tender or sent back to minors and would not be missed

Gotta get pitching, pitching, pitching and more athletic position players
