I had no idea, so I searched it. Multiple sources had it at $88 with prices ranging from $2.40 to $9,000.00

Re: Back of napkin math check
Had BDWJr just put a small amount in the 2026 team ($10-15M), then this team could've actually made the playoffs.
He BETTER do it when C. Bloom takes over or he's looking at under 2M in 2026.
I can't wait to see how far down the franchise value has dropped.

Yep average ticket price at Busch is listed as $88-91. Ticket prices range from $5 to $9,000.

I'm not at all a Mo fan, and think we never had enough, but would you have predicted all of the under-performers this year? Almost the entire roster. Almost all of them did more poorly than I would have guessed.

Statistically speaking, wouldn't three average chances provide a better chance of winning a WS than one good chance would?mattmitchl44 wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 03:27 am^This.bretto12 wrote: ↑23 Sep 2025 22:15 pm jUST shooting for a team that will squeeze into the playoff is folly. The big market teams will kill you. it will take a couple of years, but build a team that is actually a WS contender. Sneaking into the 3rd play off spot and being bounced does not make a good plan.
This logic of trying to annually be just good enough to sneak into the playoffs is what ultimately landed them in the position they are in. It kept them from trading veteran players when they should have to restock their minor league system, etc.

Think back to how ownership/management/front office entered the off-season last year. They started talking in terms of a restart and not a rebuild. We all knew that was a lie and that they had already given up on this year. Heck, there were times in the offseason where one move here or there might have provided some hope for this year, and fans would have changed their opinions about the season. IMO, this was a huge cluster f and the Cardinals have reaped what they sowed.
Still, to be honest, ownership/management/front office got what they wanted. The end of the season is upon us and some people here in CT are still posting that the Cardinals are still in contention for a Wild Card. That has been the ownership/management/front office business model for a few years now.
IMO, ownership/management/front office has a very fragile fan base, and they could lose this loyal fan base for years to come if they use a similar approach for this coming year.
