On A Bright Note
That was Pallante's last start of the season.

Re: On A Bright Note
He was sort of in a season long slump.
Re: On A Bright Note
Pallante simply allows too many baserunners. His WHIP is nearly the worst in all of MLB, along with Fedde & Mikolas also in the bottom 10. To think this was the majority of our rotation most of this season.

Re: On A Bright Note
Pallante cannot be in the rotation to start 2026. Surely Bloom has a better plan than Mo.

Re: On A Bright Note
OTH - if they announce in the offseason that Pallante has attended some sort of pitching lab and discovered a solution to his pitching woes we know nothing has changed.

He went from so so to just awful. Shame.
Re: On A Bright Note
If they trade Gray we need 3 starters. It might be necessary to keep him (Gray)

Seems to me it is very difficult to win without a strikeout pitch; even harder to win without a strike out pitcher.mattmitchl44 wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 03:33 am Of 137 ML SPs who threw at least 80 innings:

That is 5 of the top 6 starters for Cards. The only other starter who is supposed to be the Ace is Gray who will make $35M next year at 36 years old. Gray currently has his worse ERA in the last 7 years at 4.33 ERA and has given up more hits than IP.mattmitchl44 wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 03:33 am Of 137 ML SPs who threw at least 80 innings:

The Cardinals could use 5 starting pitchers. All the pitchers on the team are #4 or #5 pitchers at best.

I think Libby will be a fine three. Then Pallante will be the five- a toss up game.CardsBest wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 06:51 amThat is 5 of the top 6 starters for Cards. Mcg makes a fine four. Gray a fine two.
Need that stud.
Re: On A Bright Note
Remember earlier this year when many of you raved about Pallante in a thread about whether he could be number 2?
