Pallante in August 6 starts. 5 of 6 starts he threw 90 pitches. ERA of 9,82 for the month. In today's game score tired and Pallante was clearly losing it but left in the game to give up the 2 run home run. Marmol seems locked into what he's going to do and what's unfolding in front of his eyes are of no consequence. Couldn't pull him at 85 pitches. He had to throw the predetermined 95.

In this case it would be before Pallante throws a pitch

Game was tied today. Pallante was clearly tired but he hadn't reached the 95 pitch limit so Marmol leaves him in and the game is lost.

We need the best pitching staff in baseball or a new manager. Easier to get a new manager.

My point is he quickly racks up pitches, something a successful starter can't do. He can't be a starter next year.

I don't remember a Cardinals manager who locked his pitcher into 90 pitches a game regardless of what was happening on the field.
