It is not perception.

It is fact.

What pisses me off, though, is the perception that the league helps certain teams (e.g. Miami) and couldn't give two rips about many other teams.
So, what you're saying is that MLS is no different than other domestic leagues around the world
Sure, if you say so.
The facts say so.

Who was the last big name player West Ham signed?

West Ham's notable recent big signings include striker Callum Wilson, signed for €20.8m in 2025, and left-back Kyle Walker-Peters, also acquired in the 2025 summer transfer window, alongside the already established Mohammed Kudus, who joined for £38 million in 2023.

If you must know.

Nobody is having trouble identifying who a big name player actually is and what they contribute to a team who is not nor has been anywhere near the top quarter of the league.

Thomas Mueller was never losing that game last night.

The league wasn’t going to allow it.

He's only 35 so probably has some left in the tank.

Wonder why he passed on Cincinnati? Did he get a bad bowl of Skyline Chili?

Time for STL City to sign Edin Džeko or Dragan Mihajlović.
Is there such a thing as a good bowl of Skyline Chili?
Yeah, as it's slithering to the bottom of the trash can.
