Nolan Gorman

I hope Bloom doesn't trade Gorman in the off season but trades Arenado so he can play third everyday. I guarantee if you trade him he will hit thirty homers for another team. The kid come through last night with a key hit for the lead.

He's not a good 3rd baseman defensively.

Look at two trades that the Cardinals regret Garcia and Arozarena.

Very true, especially his inaccurate arm. He is bound for 1B/DH. Since the Cardinals already have Contreras and Burleson at these positions, someone will need to be traded. Willson would be very hard to trade, so it seems either Burly or Gorman gotta go..........

Not very similar examples - the Cardinals did not give either of them enough playing time at St. Louis for them to prove their worth. Gorman has been given nearly 400 games in 4 years to show his talents.

No doubt he's rusty at best. But give him the rest of the year there. EVERYDAY OLI. Than see where he's at. Adjust accordingly.

It's crazy guy's who have watched enough ball still judge a guy by what he's done for a week after not playing that position since 2019.

Yeah he just had the assignment dropped in his lap 10 days ago... he certainly hasn't looked great but it would be silly to make that permanent decision now. Give him the rest of the year there, the offseason to work out there, and then until probably Mother's Day next year (assuming he's not traded).

190 games in the minors = 47 errors.

Considering the cardinals probably have no plans to be competitive next season, the Cardinals might as well try to get a full season out of them. Gorman is heading into his prime years. Walker will be just beginning his prime years next season. Gorman is a better hitter than he was in 2024. Walker is having a good second half. I’d give them both another season. Trading either, potentially too early, most likely outweighs any return the cardinals are going to get back. I’d be more inclined to trade Donovan if they’re not going to extend him, along with Nootbaar.
It sure would be nice to be able to tell a guy in October what the plan is for him the following season, so he can actually create and execute an offseason plan.

and those were all at 3B. He made only 10 E in 123 games at 2B in the minors, but we have all seen him play enough 2B in St. Louis to recognize his weaknesses there.

Easy two hopper last night- threw it up the line. Error. Can’t field. The dude cannot be in the field- DH period.
