Walker has huge power potential, and is the RH MOTO slugging OFer we’ve been looking for. He just needs the right pitching coach. Wish Edmonds could spend a few days in the batting cage with him.
Oh, is that the issue? Dusty Blake isn’t the right man to help Jordan Walker?

CRANNY: You have made 45 posts on a subject that you didn't agree with. If you don't like what I post either put me on ignore or report me like you have others.
Red - Russell and FutureGM have also commented on this thread. Wouldn’t you like to address them, too?
They feel the same way I do about calling the Cards a “AAA” team when half of the MLB teams have lost more games than the Cardinals.
You can disagree, but good grief, man. You’re acting like your mother was insulted.
“ don’t talk about my mom, man.”
This whole thing was hyperbole. Are they a “AAA” team? Heck no. Are there quite a few guys on this roster who are probably AAA/AAAA level? Yeah. Truth hurts.

Dusty Blake was unqualified to be a major league pitching coach when he was hired. And he hasn’t improved much since. Hope Bloom gets both new hitting and pitching coaches.

And accuses others of trolling!... it's almost reached a psychotic level of not just [fork]ing moving on!

Rat - would suggest you include Russell and FutureGM, as I suggested to Red. I’m sure not the lone wolf in thinking this thread is inane. All Red does is bash the team he’s followed and been a fan of for a number of decades. It gets really old.
OK, fine. Russell, FutureGM…it’s hyperbole. No one is insulting your respective mothers.
If this thread is inane, IGNORE IT. Example: I find yet another thread about Cardinals history boring. I therefore ignore the “This Date in Cardinals History” thread. I don’t play fantasy baseball. I ignore that thread. It can be done.
People can still be fans and be upset with where this team is and how it got here. If you’re not, fine. Most of us are.

Gorman has a whole season’s worth of PAs more than Walker and is 2 years older. Give Walker this year and next before judging.
Keep them both and move Nootbaar and Arenado (eating all the contract if you have to). But they have to play every day.
I can get onboard with creating playing time and at bats for JW and Gorman. I can also get on board with trading Nado and Noot. If we really want to create space for the kids, we may need to ask WC to wave his NTC. Opening up 1B for some healthy competition sounds like fun for the fans.

I’m fine with that as well, although I do like WC. If we’re going to rebuild, rebuild. No more half measures.

Excellent first steps - trading Nootbaar and Arenado. Nootbaar isn’t a corner outfielder and Arenado’s production is ridiculous compared to his cost.

Nootbaar isn’t a big-league starter. Can’t stay healthy.
I just hope ownership is willing to do what has to be done with Arenado, which may mean eating a lot of that contract in a trade/release. Can’t fully rebuild with him here.

With trying to compete on a Major League level.
Red...you certainly were correct about their 'effort' last night!'
I’ve noticed two things, I think correlates. First, they get behind early. Puts our staff in immediate stress mode.second, as soon as they get behind, I see a deflation.
These two are not uncommon, especially number two. The mind is tough to grasp at times.
I think this all comes with winning. It cures all that ails.
