Two things that you need to understand.

1. He needs reps at 3B
2. He will never be Nado defensively.

We have a plethora of DHs. He isn’t a 3B. He’s less of a liability at 2B but has negative range. Best position is probably LF but if the choice there is him or Herrera, I don’t think it’s him.

Course if we trade him, he’ll turn into Garcia.
Who is Garcia?
Adolis Garcia or Garcia y Vega little cigars.
Thanks. I was drawing a blank.

He has to play third base almost every day, the rest of this year. A rebuilding team needs to know which players to keep and which ones won’t be in their future plans,

If his back is OK and he can do it, then I agree. We need to know if he is in the long-term plan or should be traded if possible.

What exactly is wrong with his back? If you've ever had back problems they are usually something that doesn't go away, many require surgery before they improve.

Coincidentally, Gorman is very much like Muncy.
Muncy has always been adequate defensively, big time LH power, .230 BA.
Gorman, of course, has the far better arm.
And Gorman is a vastly superior hitter at age 25 the Muncy was.
In Muncy is good enough to garner over 3500 PA's with the powerhouse Dodgers over the past 8 seasons, Gorman is more than good enough to fill a huge area of need in STL.

Well done, Mel. Muncy is an excellent upside comp for Gorman. If Gorman learns to work a count like Muncy, he would be an .800+ OPS force. No reason he couldn't play a comparable 3B to Muncy either.

Por nada, Juan. It was one of the few answers to anything relevant that I know.

A good thing about Gorman is he walks.

That being said, I doubt he ever gets close to muncys elite walk rate.

If given 600 PA's, Gorman is a 25+ HR, 80 runs scored, 80+RBI, .240/.310 LH power hitter - with a lot of swing and miss.
Zero question about that.
My personal, impartial, agenda free, bias free guarantee - which is the best guarantee available anywhere.
Super Slo Mo said before the year began that Gorman would receive 500+ PA's this season.
Not going to happen.
Incredibly stupid mismanagement on his part.

I thought he was a UniKKKorn? 40 HRs at 2b?

He can't even play without hurting back year in, year out. He's not nimble enough at 3b. Never will see 600 ABs.

If Winn is still here, he's not playing 2b because Hurdy and JJ.

Look how Smellville capitulates on the KKKorn's expectations
Who is Hurdy?
