What relievers? And what teams? We have the prizes pigZouMiz2424 wrote: ↑30 Jul 2025 10:52 am I fully expect teams to get their relievers elsewhere and on thursday evening get a quote from Mo saying, " the market turned in a way that we weren't expecting"
Why not lead the trade deadline for a change instead of waiting around?

The question was about Mo initiating talks or waiting for the phone to ring. He can exchange names without initiating the talks.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑30 Jul 2025 12:47 pmAnd another thread says that the Cards are taking names for him..ZouMiz2424 wrote: ↑30 Jul 2025 10:52 am I fully expect teams to get their relievers elsewhere and on thursday evening get a quote from Mo saying, " the market turned in a way that we weren't expecting"

I get the sense of urgency to move Helsley and Matz.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑30 Jul 2025 12:44 pmWhat relievers? And what teams? But....Maton and Romero both only make slightly over $2M.
If the other two are moved what is wrong with keeping/resigning Maton & Romero?
Seems like the price would be a relative bargain for both?
And Romero actually has one more year of control(Arb).

Can but I don’t think he does. I think if no one calls he does nothing. That’s the problem. Cautious or risk adverse.ramfandan wrote: ↑30 Jul 2025 12:30 pmRegarding Helsley , Mo will wait for the teams to come to him with their package offers. Actually , I think for that deal it puts him at advantage . He has the reliever that is highly rated . You make them come to you .Youboughtit wrote: ↑30 Jul 2025 11:15 amI have been curious about Mo and his approach. Do you think he pursues trades or waits for teams to come to him. He seems like the type that won’t make the first move and that puts him at a disadvantage.ZouMiz2424 wrote: ↑30 Jul 2025 10:52 am I fully expect teams to get their relievers elsewhere and on thursday evening get a quote from Mo saying, " the market turned in a way that we weren't expecting"
As for the other guys, his approach would be somewhat different. He can both pursue and/ or wait .

He is sitting on the catbird seat and has inquiries about Helsley before. Just hatred bias coloring the narrative without any proof, vs reports saying names are being banteredYouboughtit wrote: ↑30 Jul 2025 13:25 pmCan but I don’t think he does. Because that would be stupid and will not bring about a great a return.
Re: Why not lead the trade deadline for a change instead of waiting around?
A. Not a Mo fan B. Would you sell your home to the first bidder or wait to see if you can get a bidding war going? Some of you have lost common sense.

Ahhh….don’t forget they found a better option and went with them instead….
You forget there’s a shot clock here….tick tick
