Carbonneau v Mailloux
In training camp. Book it. Two big boys with something to prove. I think Carbonneau is smart enough not to run Parayko because you don’t run the team’s #1 defenseman and expect to make the team. The only other matchup would be with Tucker, but only because Carbonneau wants to prove he can hang with the best of them. But, I see Carbonneau and Mailloux as most likely. I would imagine they’ll spend a lot of time in corners together during scrimmages. It’ll be a heavyweight battle for sure.
Re: Carbonneau v Mailloux
Carbonneau isn't really one to drop the gloves. I think it's a lot more likely that Peterson does something like that to make a name for himself with all the other kids coming along.
That said;
1- Hopefully they save that stuff for opposing teams instead of burning it in practice.
2- If they do decide to drop the mitt's to make a name for themselves, they'll need a veteran to play ball for it to have any real impact. I could see Schenn, Sunny or Bjugstad having a "grumpy old man" moment and obliging. Or I could see Dingo deciding to make one of them his chew toy and the kid getting tired of it.

Dingo doesn’t fight people, he makes them his personal chew toy. He’s a good puppy.MikoTython wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 17:27 pmhttps://twitter.com/i/status/1880098803447132432kimzey59 wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 23:46 pm Carbonneau isn't really one to drop the gloves. Re: Carbonneau v Mailloux
At camp I noticed the kid Broberg check Carbonneau a little too well, and I think it was about 3 minutes later that Carbonneau returned the greeting.
I don't know who Carbo is going to hit, but I do heavily suspect that whoever hits him first is going to get hit.

Carbonneau will most likely have more fans sporting his sweater in a couple of years, but unless Mailloux flames out, he will become a huge fan favorite by this Christmas, in my opinion

That’s cause a lot of them are just gonna dust off their old Guy Carbonneau sweaters.Harry York 37 wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 19:18 pm Carbonneau will most likely have more fans sporting his sweater in a couple of years, but unless Mailloux flames out, he will become a huge fan favorite by this Christmas, in my opinion
