Schedule softens but I don’t think it matters
Wash 37-53
Atlanta 39-50
Arizona 44-46
Rockies 21-70
Why does 6-6 in this 12 games feel about right, it seems about the best they can do, leaking oil bad

Going 1-5 in Pittsburgh and Chicago getting outscored 41-11 doesn’t exactly portend anything good.
I expect attendance will be sparse and the team will play uninspired ball
500 type ball only because these other teams blow too

Depends on when they get injured players back.Baseball Savant wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 21:49 pm Wash 37-53

Specifically, it depends on when they get Herrera back. Because he is the only power bat on the entire team.Cranny wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 22:54 pmDepends on when they get injured players back.Baseball Savant wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 21:49 pm Wash 37-53

But I’m not holding my breath.

It depends on the pitching. What will they do with Fedde and Mikolas? Most likely McGreevy takes Fedde's next start. How many more will Mikolas get?

Because when they got beat it wasn't close.Baseball Savant wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 21:49 pm Wash 37-53

A team with several players who are searching for traction
is a bit more extreme. That Pitt sweep was ugly.
Inside that those 7 games vs the Cubs they were 3-4, while not playing well
that easily could have been worse.

9-3
Keeps them relevant and we'll see if BDWJr keeps his word that he'll "add".
6-6 and the "For Sale" sign goes up.

It doesn't matter. This team will end up between 80 and 84 wins.
Hopefully, that is not viewed as a success to keep Oli employed.

As bad as they sucked they still got out of Chicago with a win. They can’t play much worse, so I expect a 4-2 stretch. All they need is one win to adjust the attitude. Just one.

If I’m truly in a reset and get 80-84 wins, I’d be elated, knowing I’m fixin to add.Basil Shabazz wrote: ↑08 Jul 2025 08:34 am It doesn't matter. This team will end up between 80 and 84 wins.

Two well added players, moves this team to a WC given, to a WS possible.
We are one good year away from relevancy.

Fedde will start until he is traded, at which point McGreevy finally gets his call-up. Unless a starting pitcher is added, Mikolas will be soaking up starts until the end of the year. The way he was left in the game in Chicago even though he was failing to protect the staff- that's what it'll look like, only on a remainder of the season scale.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑07 Jul 2025 23:54 pm It depends on the pitching.
