If you were to confuse his OPS for his avg he'd almost look like a below-average prospect.

Yay Rainiel. He's listed in the newest MLB and Fangraph's rankings as #4 and #3 prospect for the Cards, despite his deep dive in his first 100 ABs in A ball.

Raining pretty heavily at PB. 6th inning - now Rainiel whiffs on Cordoba's throw that should have been out at home.

Rainiel a great swing to go the other way for a double. Deniel Ortiz out for his third K. He used that swing challenge and lost badly, but I love it.

Duce must still be having fun elsewhere. Wetherholt hits 2-run HR in first. Redbirds winning 4-0.

Matchup of the day = Izan Henderson vs. Isan Diaz.

Walker hit a hard double to open 3rd. Wetherholt then flies out. JJ looks good when he makes outs.
JJ is finally batting 3rd where he can show us if he can drive in more runs as he should be able to. His 1st inning HR is a good step.
Chase has so much flair and at bat - he just usually can't make contact, and often not close (he just missed a change by a foot before popping out).

Ixan Henderson now through 5 IP with a shutout. He's throwing lots of off-speed stuff. Over 50%.

JJ Wetherholt hits a long out to RC. The pitch before he hit a 110 mph drive foul. He's been doing great off a decent LHP for NW Arkansas.
Bernal then doubles with a ball to the same spot, but hits it harder.

There is NO one behind Home plate at this game. I don't remember seeing this at an MiLB park.

Rainiel Rodriguez ~ 1-1, HR....374 ft. flyball over LF wall....little R to L breeze. 101mph EV, he didn't need the wind assist.

2nd HR with Palm Beach. 9th on the year

kid seems like he can rake. can he stick at C? have you actually watched him?

I'm given to understand by people on here who are much more with it than me tend to think that there's no way he sticks at catcher. And I'm good with that. Maybe this kid can be that big stick in the corner OF that we've been missing for years.

JJ with his second HR of the game with one to CF on a semi-outside pitch, followed by Baez hitting it off the RF wall for his second 2b - and then steals 3b for the second time today (he scored on wild throw). Josh now has 33 SBs.

Here's JJ's first HR -- 377 ft on a line = 110 mph!
