Using your "logic", Albert Pujols was NOT the RH hitting 1B with the highest HR power ceiling in STL history because only 484 of his 705 career HR came as a first baseman, and of that smaller pool of 484 HR just 354 came while playing 1b for the Cardinals. So there's that...russellhammond wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 18:54 pmWell, yeah...except for the fact that he hasn't been playing 2B, especially during this good period. So there's that....

Travel nationwide quite a bit with my work.
I go where my clients are and work a lot of hours when advising them.
Sometimes, that means depriving my followers here for stretches of time.

This is exactly how I see it. IMO they are using him precisely how they should.russellhammond wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 17:35 pm Gorman is proving to be what he's always been....a player who can have short stints where he hits well, but longer stints when he doesn't hit at all. Nothing new here....except he's 25 instead of 21.

I'm sorry...I thought the post was about Gorman. I must have missed the Pujols part of the thread. But, regardless, you still can't talk about Gorman as a 2B because he isn't one.Melville wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 19:31 pmUsing your "logic", Albert Pujols was NOT the RH hitting 1B with the highest HR power ceiling in STL history because only 484 of his 705 career HR came as a first baseman, and of that smaller pool of 484 HR just 354 came while playing 1b for the Cardinals. Which of course means Pujols was not a RH hitting 1b who hit 705 career homeruns.russellhammond wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 19:48 pmI'm sorry...I thought the post was about Gorman. Then she finally came back as WCBW with a story about how she was created. It was always completely out there, yet entertaining, and somehow harmless. I remember the piece she/he wrote about Descalso right before a playoff game. It was just priceless. There is enough narcissism on full display in the world right now, so to have it as the schtick for a CT character is a bit much. Sigh......Maarrgie...was...always...good...for...a...laugh..... You opened those threads immediately to see what harmless conspriacy theory mayhem was afoot today. She didn't clog up the front page with multiple threads like shady maple wally, just often enough for entertainment. Oh well..... now we get attention seekers and narcissists. At least we are not subject to Troell again.....yet....icon wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025 22:37 pmYeah, reading Margie was like an acid trip. Oh Stormin' Norman has definitely been better. It would be wonderful it he could find some way to hit .250 with pop and not KKKKK as much and he is trending in the right direction. He does best when he uses the whole field. He is average at best on D, and perhaps if he were just installed at 3rd he might improve somewhat, and range is not as much of a factor there. But he is not the next Pujols, or some magic unicorn. He is an average defender, .220 power hitting third baseman. He is pretty mediocre at second. I am definitely rooting for him. If he cuts down on the K's, uses the whole field, and simply tries to hit dingers in the right situation, and develops a good two strike approach and plate discipline when needed.... then he would be a lot better.2ninr wrote: ↑03 Jul 2025 05:53 amAh those pesky facts. It is hard to get dealt when you are not good. Who would him? He isn’t playing for any contender. He could get dealt for another over rated, under performing player on a bad team, but how does that help.bccardsfan wrote: ↑03 Jul 2025 07:54 amOh Stormin' Norman has definitely been better.
