Nado is dead pull type hitter. If he had hit pop up to short LF .. no deep enough to score Gorman, there was nobody that could catch it.
Anyone else notice that?

With him play a guy in LF even roars the line and other guy in CF cheating toward LF. Heck leave RF open

That was really weird, but I’m not going to get mad at them for doing it!

Took any drama out of it

Genius move by Oli to not play Nado at 3rd today so he could pinch hit with him to win the game .
And we all thought it was to give him a rest fir day game after the night game .

All kidding aside , Oli gets an A grade today on all his moves including the bunt by Pages with 2 strikes and lifting VS II for Nado

Agree ! I don’t believe watching a high fly ball that stayed in the air forever and when it landed there was still no OF player in the TV screen going after it. It was like there were no outfielders at all.

But if they hadn't worked they would have all been stupid moves and Oli would be a terrible manager!

Arenado has been practicing his game winning pop ups for the past few days.

5.62 K/9
4.03 BB/9

FIP does not like him, but 73.2 IP with a 3.54 ERA is very nice

Late question on the box score, which shows that both runs off the Dodger reliever were earned runs.

Wouldn't the Cardinals run in the 8th be unearned? The bases would have been loaded on Burleson's infield hit, and then Herrera popped out to end the inning.

The only reason the run scored was because of the pitcher's throwing error, so therefore in my book the run is unearned.

Does anyone have different ideas?

Oh I’m not saying it’s sustainable or even if he will be good for the whole season but he has been better than the people crying over trading edman for him give him credit for

Casparius error allowed Pages to reach 1B as he sacrificed Barrero (Gorman's PR) to 3B.

Barrero later scored with nobody out so the run is earned. If Pages had scored it would have been unearned, but he did not. If there were 2 outs when Barrero scored, it may also have been unearned, I guess.

Thank you, I'm not questioning the 9th inning run. The scorer did not give the pitcher an error on Burleson'(poop) in the 8th, which I find surprising. To me, Winn doesn't score without the misplay at 1st base.

Braves blow a 9th inning lead again. Lose 3-2 to SF Giants on a walkoff 2-run HR by Matt Chapman. Playoff picture looking competitive, hope it keeps up as it will make the deadline annd finish interesting.
