Red Sox Jarren Duran on the trading block

Post by rockondlouie »

Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer proposed the Dodgers trade three prospects—catcher/outfielder Dalton Rushing, left-handed pitcher Jackson Ferris, and shortstop Emil Morales—to the Red Sox for Duran, a 2024 All-Star with three seasons of team control left.

Hey Mo can you better that deal?

Is Duran one C. Bloom's picks and would he want him going forward?

Duran:
2024-25
25 HR
47 SB's
.281 .337 .472 .809

I saw where he suffers from depression and anxiety.

Don't need another Khalil Greene experience

Yeah but Duran literally tried to off himself. Seems like he’s doing better and has it all figured out(at least at the moment)now and I’m happy for him.

Keeping it at a pure baseball standpoint id be intrigued. But the lineup needs more power, imo. I’d make that more of a priority

Yea, I’d prefer someone younger, but I would be talking to the A’s to see if they’ve changed their stance on Rooker.

No doubt, I'd be all in on going after Rooker who I wanted last year too!

Rooker is 30 and owed, potentially, almost $80 million thru age 35...

And he has hit .272 with an .866 OPS over the last 3 years. Pacing for his 3rd straight 30+ HR season. His underlying numbers all look great. Yea, I’d prefer someone more like 26/27ish age wise, but with the core we have right now if we could get a hitter like Rooker this team looks so much better.

This is just people speculating. They know the Red Sox need to make room for Roman Anthony. While they may eventually trade Duran, he isn't any more on the trading block than Wilyer Abreu.

I've been on that bandwagon for a couple seasons.
A 30 y/o but on an very good contract for a .800+ hitter.

They'll want upside cheap back that can be a part of the Vegas experience OD 2028.

I've read it on a couple sites Horse, the Padres mentioned as well.
