Man Alive--Michael McGreevy is getting railroaded
Have you seen the AAA stats.
He's dominating.
Maybe not utter domination, but
he's looking great.
Couple that with his already fantastic
efforts in the big leagues.
So, what the hell are they waiting on.
Put Mikolas in the bullpen if need be.
Get this kid a job.

Maybe he could play a corner outfield position until Sunday?

For him to average more the 5 innings per start?Bully4you wrote: ↑05 Jun 2025 04:50 am Have you seen the AAA stats.

21 years old, gave up 150 hits in 144.1 innings.
22 years old, gave up 177 hits in 153 innings.
23 years old, 152 hits in 150 innings.
24 years old, 58 hits in 55 innings currently.
I like McGreevy and think he gave give us some quality innings as a back of the rotation kinda guy #4/#5, but lets not continue getting carried away that he's some invaluable piece we have to build our rotation around. Guys with career 9.7 H9 in the minors don't usually sniff major league rotations. He has very good control and doesn't walk many, so certainly has a chance.

Isn't he being railroaded into a start Sunday?Bully4you wrote: ↑05 Jun 2025 04:50 am Have you seen the AAA stats.

I think he turns out to be a slightly better version of Dakota Hudson. they have a similar body type, and they both rely on contact and keeping the ball on the ground. It seems McGreevy doesn't have the control issues that killed Hudson.Ace07 wrote: ↑05 Jun 2025 07:22 am 21 years old, gave up 150 hits in 144.1 innings.

He is probably as you said going to turn out to be a really nice 4 or 5, which does provide value. But some people comment here thinking he's a future top of the rotation guy. He's simply not, and wasn't expected to be that when drafted

I’ve said similar for Mcgreevy regarding his higher than desired AAA whip. But he’s still young and can figure it out. Just look at Libby. Also who he’d be replacing is also hittable in pallante fedde mikolas. Give me the kid with upside and our stellar mlb defense.

The plan for the reset is to get a bat or a league level ace this off season. As you can see with McG, league level is needed.
For this to happen we must trade or spend. That is what the cut in salary was designed to do, provide funds.
With out a league ace or league bat, we are just a flightless bird.

Ya, Sikeston. The team has 10+ individuals in analytics, 20+ scouts, 19 members of the operations department and their entire plan for a "reset" comes from thinking like a 12 year old child playing video games. You nailed it.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑05 Jun 2025 08:00 am The plan for the reset is to get a bat or a league level ace this off season. As you can see with McG, league level is needed.
