Some don't even want anything significant for him it's insanity.
I'm glad you know what I want or what I value. Perhaps you should GTFOH with your rambling bull[shirt].
Yea let's go give Sam Bennett 7 to 9 million a year instead so I can hear about the overpriced Brayden schenn for the next 7 years instead

We already complain about the schenn contract we don't need 2.

No you simply don't get that the leafs haven't won a Cup since 67 ish and the value of their franchise is still exponentially bigger than yours.

You tell me Stillman doesn't wish the prime Hull years were right now lmao... again gtfoh

But you guys don't want a new hull because we had hull 30 years ago ..
Just curious, if you could only have one or the other. Do you want another Brett Hull without a cup or a team that wins the cup?

I think I know which one Stillman cherishes.
You guys love holding on to the rag tag bunch of under dogs narrative.

Why would stillman love a prime Hull? He scored over 700 goals and would easily be the most charismatic superstarbin the sport today. Good for 2 or 3 sound clips a night on top if highlight goals is a marketers dream in the social media era you can post every clip on every platform and make an alternative money stream for your franchise that simply didn't exist in the 90s..

There is a reason Stillman is looking at streaming platforms as an alternative revenue source. They are also stepping up the production game with blue note productions..
and yet it wasn't until Hull worked on his defense and sacrificed his goal scoring that led him to raising the cup
Winning is great and what everybody strives to do unfournately only one team does that a year why you guys don't want to make extra money along the way to use on the team astounds me honestly...
but the team does make money, and sells a ton of merch. They are now winning as well.

Kind of the best of both worlds.

Stillman literally just said they worry about being able to spend to the cap going forward. I love you guys but you need to understand we got to grow the brand and now is the perfect time to do it with all the new eyes on hockey.

The easiest way is to get a superstar the most obvious play was matthew. That deal didn't get done that can't happen again. N2m he went on to win that cup you guys keep talking about... fs

It wouldn't be because they aren't making money, it's because we are a mid market and there's only so much they can charge.

They can't charge prices in St. Louis that they charge in New York, Toronto, LA, and now Florida.

You can't charge 100+ for the upper bowl and expect sellouts, we aren't that kind of town.

113 million is a lot of money for a mid market team and you will likely see more than a few teams not be able to get to that amount.

You truly need to understand how the streamers your kids or grandkids watch make money before you come at me saying my premise is an assumption lmao.

They live stream play games make money from your kid donating. Then they get hit with ads for 5 mins before they can watch the stream again usually one a hour sometimes more.

They then cut their live streams into clips and short forms videos for even more content to farm for money on YouTube which also has more commercials they make a killing off of. This isn't including Twitter or tiktok fb etc.

Since Twitter has monetized its creators I know countless people who make enough money tweeting all day that's their full time job now quit there everyday jobs to tweet and making more money then ever..

Again Stillman was the one talking about streaming platforms and bluenote productions not me .. how many little after the game interview series did Andy di this year with players and Monty etc..

Again this is why Stillman has said they are looking for new ALTERNATIVE revenue streams so they don't have to raise traditional prices..

There is simply new ways to make money off of content that wasn't there even10 to 20 years ago.

We are essentially following the stars lead again to me by the sounds of it with our own version of victory plus.

We may even become a partner with victory itself like the ducks did this season...

They can then make it easier for everyone to watch games likely with little to no blackouts and make documentaries the more we watch the more they make..

Technology is beautiful boys

Ofc... only other thing I said is a superstar makes marketing alot f n easier lmao.. Again the point can't be argued it has stood the test of time.

Athletes wouldn't be given endorsement deals for shoes or to chew gum or whatever if the company didn't make money off it. Simple marketing..

Go out and get brady and them film a documentary series during training camp just like the NFL does and tell me that wouldn't get watched... gtfoh

Great. Do you think if they announced tomorrow a partnership with a streaming service, like the cardinals have, that all of a sudden thousands of people will sign up?

It's not likely. It would take years before they got to the numbers they needed to make profit off of it which is why teams aren't diving in headfirst to get those kinds of channels launched. At this point I haven't seen anything on the numbers of streamers only, but logic states it can't be great if the Cards aren't touting those numbers.

It's far more likely the blues go to Matrix midwest before they ever go strictly to streaming.

With Spectrum buying out Cox cable, now they'll need even more reasons to ensure people keep their cable.

Chief is being the diplomat claiming the Leafs absolutely want to resign Marner and Tavares. Methinks he really wants Schenn in the offseason.

I agree completely, it's a no for me on Sam Bennett.

Unfathomable wrote: 19 May 2025 13:23 pm Some of these comments and not understanding sports marketing is hilarious.. I bet Tom Stillman is glad the fans don't act like Toronto andbrun their bestbplayers out of town but you can't tell me he doesn't wish he had that teams jersey sales.. they burn and throw jerseys on the ice after every game only to re buy them... gthoh
The whole point went sailing over your head
To quote the great Harry Doyle:
He’s gonna need a rocket up his (rear) to catch that one
No you simply don't get that the leafs haven't won a Cup since 67 ish and the value of their franchise is still exponentially bigger than yours.

You tell me Stillman doesn't wish the prime Hull years were right now lmao... again gtfoh

But you guys don't want a new hull because we had hull 30 years ago ..
You couldn't be more off base
No you guys are just boomers and need to get with the gah dang times..
But your entire premise starts off with an assumption that is simply made up. And then you proceed to berate us because of this made up assumption. Just weird.

The buch being the reporter.....

Somebody understands what I'm talking about it just isn't you...
That's not the premise I was referring to
Ofc... only other thing I said is a superstar makes marketing alot f n easier lmao.. Again the point can't be argued it has stood the test of time.

Athletes wouldn't be given endorsement deals for shoes or to chew gum or whatever if the company didn't make money off it. Simple marketing..

Go out and get brady and them film a documentary series during training camp just like the NFL does and tell me that wouldn't get watched... gtfoh
Lmao still no. Do you need to go back and reread your own words?
