Stojakovic

Post by 12xu »

Andrej Stojakovic has indicated that three schools are still on his list of transfer possibilities: Illinois, North Carolina, and Stanford. It is expected that he will make his decision sometime this week.

Wouldn't mind still getting a vet backup PG that doesn't command a ton of minutes as insurance. Petrovic and Boswell are really the only PG's on the roster. But I'd guess this roster is pretty set. Love the scoring capability of this team. Some worry about the defense. We've got size and length, but we aren't super athletic. If I were guessing right now, I'd put our depth chart like:

PG - Mihailo Petrovic, Brandon Lee
SG - Kylan Boswell, Jake Davis, Keaton Wagler
F - Stojakovic, Ben Humrichous
F - Ty Rodgers, David Mirkovic
C - Tommi Ivisic, Z. Ivisic

I thought Rodgers was learning how to play PG during his redshirt?

He's probably next in line after Petro and Bos. Stojakovic is probably going to get the ball a lot in pick and roll situations, so having another "true pg" probably isn't too big of a deal.

hopefully the coaches put some focus on reducing turnovers. Occasional bad shooting you can overcome, but turnovers, especially early and late in games is tough.

I also hope to see more offensive sets. pick and pop or pick and roll is a really good action, especially with the right personnel which T. Ivis seems to be, but it can be defended by the right personnel also.
