Currently the higher seeded teams are in trouble in 3 of 4 series. Only the Leafs who are tied 2-2 with Florida is not trailing. After higher seeds advancing in most first rounds the second round is favoring the lower seeds.
Any reasons for this?

I mean in an 82 game season
Knights won 50 games the Oilers won 48
Jets won 56 stars won 50
Caps won 51 Canes won 47
Leafs won 52 Florida 47
I wouldn't call any of those huge favorites over the others
