It might only be the Nats, but he has pitched a hell of a game regardless. Statement game to open the series on the road. We're a horrible road team, but we're not playing like that tonight....hopefully this entire series!!!

Oh, look. Jordan Walker has two strikes on him.

Ease up on the 'reset' plan ? No way ! No easing up .. just keep going .. don't change anything ! Oli would be sending the wrong message if he changes things up. When you are hot , keep doing what you are doing ! The worst thing would be is to 'overmanage' your lineups etc. IMO

Walker having big night tonight. On base twice with a hit by pitch and a walk . Brant Brown must be telling him there are other ways to reach first base if you can't hit the ball in the field of play. Nice job, Brownie !

Nine walks for the Cardinals tonight.
You’re pitching staff has to genuinely suck for that to happen!

Oh my God! Nats just emailed all the double play ball inyo the dugout and the Cardinal score their 10th run. I swear I’m enjoying this game more than I have any other this year. (Probably cause Brad’s not on, by the way).

Another positive at bat for JW. Fouled off low outside pitches he couldn't hit. Worked the count. Saw >10 pitches. Got the walk. One AB at a time.
JW's defense has improved significantly this year making Siani unnecessary. He just needs to hit his weight now. Something approaching 250.

I agree. Whatever they're doing right now, just keep doing it. I don't know if it was simply horrific batting approach last year (and the year before) or wilting under the pressure of hitting with RISP, but the kids are cruising right now and the vets are leading the way.ramfandan wrote: ↑09 May 2025 20:14 pmEase up on the 'reset' plan ? This might sound weird but I hope they lose a game soon. If they go on a big winning streak it'll draw a bunch of national attention and then all year it'll be "Well the Cards won 12 in a row earlier this year, why can't they get back to those winning ways?"

You seem like a very decent person. And you, indeed, are an interesting poster. But I'm dealing with a bunch of really ornery, anonymous posters. Led by craviduce. I have thousands of really wonderful people in real life. These bullies make me appreciate them even moreCusecards wrote: ↑09 May 2025 20:06 pmSo....I am a “good poster”?Shady wrote: ↑09 May 2025 19:59 pmThanks for your your courteous suggestions. But, I have a suggestion for you. Mind your own business. You are a good poster. Don't try to be a counselor. OK? By the way, you don't think I've had to tolerate “personal” nonsense?Cusecards wrote: ↑09 May 2025 19:55 pmI haven’t been here as long as a number of others.Shady wrote: ↑09 May 2025 19:32 pmGuru, you are over-reaching. You need to quit trying to adjudicate and just do what you are really good at, reporting baseball stuff. Quit trying to be the Supreme Ruler of Cards Talk. Got a good Cardinals game going. Why do you continuously try to cause trouble? U;m not a threat to your dynasty on CT. Relax. How about yo uand your bandits leave me alone and I'll leave you and your crew alone?craviduce wrote: ↑09 May 2025 19:19 pmyour name is Marshall. You outed yourself by linking all of your facebook accounts, and wanting everyone to know you once coached a game. So you should be irate with yourself. Stop being an A-hole on the GDT.Shady wrote: ↑09 May 2025 19:17 pmRepeatedly addressing a poster by his name is a repulsive attempt to degrade him. That needs to be reported. Ring a bell? Quite trying to cause trouble.craviduce wrote: ↑09 May 2025 19:13 pmif you're going to tell people you reported them for inappropriate things, you need to be a SHINING example going forward. ....calling people "Richard" to be clever about the word "Dikk"....that's pretty awful, Marshall.Shady wrote: ↑09 May 2025 19:10 pmWhat were his numbers with the Cardinals earlier this season, Richard?Monsieur De Treville wrote: ↑09 May 2025 19:08 pmI do like Saggese's potential bat...but...you do know he's hitting under .230 at Memphis this season, don't you?Shady wrote: ↑09 May 2025 18:54 pmWalker could use a "reset" at Memphis or Springfield. Bring Saggese back up to see if he can continue to hit, respectably, at the MLB level. Donovan and Barrero can cover in the outfield. Being in the race, they now need all the solid hitters in the lineup they can get.
Should we all report you? To live up to your standards of what's appropriate ?
Go somewhere else for that.
But it seems like you have a “history” with a number of posters.
Have you ever thought of:
1) Foregoing the screen name Shady.
2) Come back under a different screen name.
3) Change some of your posting habits which many have advised you to do.
4) Stick to baseball topics and eliminate the repetitive threads.
If you are serious about discussing baseball....as you claim....maybe that will eliminate all the “personal” nonsense which you always seem to get caught up in.
I’m serious and just trying to help.
Thank you for that!
If you are SERIOUS about wanting to just “talk baseball” why are you reacting as you are to my suggestion to do so without the nonsense?
Are you emotionally attached to the name Shady?
A lot of posters seem to know your history under other names/socks.
You claim that it “bothers” you but you make zero effort to conform.
Have a nice night.
Go Cards!
